“BELOW TERRIBLE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

Staying at the Hilton and we always try to avoid that Hotel Buffet Breakfast, so instead of walking to the Crown or city we decided to go to Caffe Cino.
Big Mistake,
1. Ordered an omelette that cafe from the hotels buffet, worst omelette we have had.
2. Ordered side of mushrooms and spinach, came from buffet area (cold and basically boiled in those buffet warmers. Spinach never arrived.
3. Ordered Skim Cap, we questioned that it was not Skim Milk and the lady insisted, so I asked her to show me the container and it was some type of lite fat milk but not Skim. I told her that was not Skim Milk and she insisted it was, then she told me shrugging her shoulders that she hadn't heard of Skim.

Enough to make you batty, couple next to us that arrived 15 minutes later were not aware of our issues and we could see they were upset also.
We asked them what had happened and they told us whatever they asked for, they were told the cafe had run out of it.
Mind you one item was a croissant, hey just go to the buffet !!
That's where our food came from !!!!
Very poor Hilton.
After 5 visits here, something is really changing at this hotel, really changing.

“Caffe Cino South Wharf ....awesome brew!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

I would not normally review a coffee bar BUT this deserves an accolade.
We discovered this little gem early one morning on as we left the Hilton Hotel to attend the Convention Centre. It then became our morning ritual to collect a macchiato 'Wake-Me-Up" as we headed off to our meetings.
Best tasting coffee I had experienced whilst staying in Melbourne.
Good selection of snacks, cakes & pastries ....... PLUS smiling staff.

We were staying at the Hilton and had our coffees from here .
They very kindly opened early and made us a coffee which was the best cup I have ever had
The bread and cakes are baked on the premises and are so fresh and tasty .
Lovely service and comfy chairs

“A first for us, and a first review for Cafe Cino!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

My wife and I stayed a Hilton South Wharf for a few nights earlier this year, and despite having stayed there many times before had always either had the amazing Hilton breakfast (it's incredible!) or headed down to South Bank for a morning stroll and had something down there.

This time we decided to just grab a quick coffee and pastry at the small cafe on the corner of the Hotel - and we're glad we did. The service was fantastic, the coffee was great, there was plenty of reading material to relax with, and the almond croissant was spectacular.

Alex, the girl who was working there, was very friendly and smiling (unlike some of the Hilton staff this time around) and pretty typical of the service we've come to expect at Hilton.

I don't know if it's formally related to Hilton, but you could do much worse if your staying there and just wanted a quick light breakfast....

(PS - after over 30 reviews on Trip Advisor - I've never been the first one to review something - and this little gem has been there for years!)
