“Would definitely stay again!”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

Located right by the Victoria Markets, the Pegasus Apart'Hotel was a great place to stay for the weekend. About a 15 minute walk to the Crown and only a few minutes from central Melbourne it was the perfect location for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room itself was great. Featuring very modern furniture and a good sized bathroom and kitchenette. Very comfy and clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again :)

I stayed here for 3 nights and in overall, it was a good experience.
Food options are limited, as I dont like going out at night, so had to order take-away in, as there was not really too many restaurants around.
All in all, pretty good.
Thanks

Dear George W

\We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. The immediate area is a little quiet at night with most of the better Food & Beverage options being a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.

If you made use of our in room menu service, we hope you enjoyed it. We are working on our F&B facility at present; it will cater to in house guests and the public as a Café/Bar/Restaurant.

I stayed here for 4 nights whilst in Melbourne for a Conference. Despite the negative reviews which left me skeptical I decided to book as the photos looked nice.

The hotel room was just as beautiful as the photos depicted. It was spotless, modern and had everything I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable with a beautiful duvet. There was a heatpump in my room to keep it warm, flatscreen TV everything you could need. Slippers, fully stocked kitchen with tea/coffee.

The only shortfall was the intermittent Wifi signal, which they are currently in the process of upgrading. Wifi was guaranteed in the lobby and seemed to work best in the hallway outside my room. But I was eventually able to connect from my room during daytime hours when less people were in the hotel so I was happy with it in the end.

I expected a bit more from the spa pool- it wasnt very warm and the jet was in need of some attention. Reminded me of a volcano errupting. You wouldnt want to sit next to it. Haha. But the gym looked alright. It was always very quiet.

I would definitely stay again!! It was a home away from home.

Oh, and previous reviews about the street being dodgy- I had no worries. Its not well lit, but it is on a main street and I had no problems walking alone at night and never felt unsafe. (30 yr old female traveling alone)

Would definitely recommend- 5 min walk to city circle tram, 10-15 min walk to anywhere in the CBD, Vic markets 2 min walk away. Small convenience store w/ groceries and wine only 1 block away. Near to restaurants. Room service available.

Overall excellent stay!! And great price at $122AUD/night studio queen. Will stay again.

Dear Kendraa
Thank you for your positive feedback in terms of our product, cleanliness and amenities provided in all of our studios and suites.
The Spa does have a set of jets which emit strongly from the floor of the spa, an item we are attending to.

The internet pipeline has now been upgraded and we hope this meets the complimentary Wi-Fi demand of our guests; we have been running at a fairly high occupancy of late and have not had any reports of slow speeds or connection challenges.

We are pleased to know that you felt safe in the area and Pegasus felt like a home away from home.

Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to welcome you back for either a leisure or business related trip

Thank you! from the Team at Pegasus

My friends and I stayed at Pegasus last week. When we arrived it was quite early and assumed we wouldn't be allowed to check in, however the friendly lady at the desk moved some things around and got us a room, which was great.

The hotel is in a great location, five minute walk to Queen Victoria Markets! Free tram runs in the next street, which was very handy.

The housekeeping department could use some more attention, however, the lady (Carly) at the front desk made up for that. Her service was outstanding. She was always willing to offer advice & help us with whatever request we had! She definitely needs some recognition from the hotel.

Overall, was a great experience in Melbourne & will recommending this hotel to others.

We are pleased to know you enjoyed your time in Melbourne and that Carly was able to make up for the housekeeping issue.

Our location, whilst in a quiet location, is handy when staying in Melbourne with easy access to most points of interest and hubs around town.

We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back when you next visit Melbourne

I booked the hotel for my son (Raihan Arlan Arnanda) for 1 night only.
When he arrived to the hotel, he was very disappointed that he had to wait until 4 pm with the reason that the room was not ready. the price was too high compared to the service. It was his 1st day in Melbourne for study in University of Melbourne. We will not choose the hotel whenever we visit him.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights. We booked into a twin room, which was small but very comfortable and much better than staying in a hotel room.

However this particular room (510) was next to the mechanical storeroom, and I was kept awake by an intermittent hum throughout the night. The next day I asked whether we could be moved, not really expecting anything could be done and being prepared to sleep with earplugs in. However Jacob and Cara were extremely helpful and upgraded us to a two bedroom apartment on level 14 for the rest of our stay! We were very impressed and pleased by the service.

Both rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable, and the white linen is crisp. The towels are large and fluffy. The glossy black kitchenettes are well-equipped with all the glassware and crockery you would need - my only quibbles are that there should be at least one sharp knife in the drawer and there should be a larger rubbish bin (given the rooms are serviced daily, the tiny bin wasn't a major problem, just a bit bemusing).

The pool is well lit and warm, and perfect for doing laps. The spa is a little strange - the jets seem to need a bit of tweaking (it wasn't especially relaxing!). The gym looked as though it had top quality machines.

There isn't much else on A'Beckett Street, ie you're not right in the centre of the city action. But the location of Pegasus is literally right around the corner from Queen Vic Markets, and only a short walk to Melbourne Central. We used the Skybus and its free hotel transfer service to get to Pegasus from the airport, and it was all very smooth and easy.

It was the most reasonably priced of the apartment hotels I could find at the time of booking with the room type we needed (it's strangely difficult to find twin beds in a lot of places, or at least to be guaranteed twin beds). I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better outlook. Rooms next to the mechanical stores have intermittent noise thr...

Dear Talulahmei

We are pleased to know that after an issue with noise from a small plant room on your floor, you enjoyed your stay with us. We have commenced a review with the company which installed and services our air conditioning system.

Thank you for your acknowledgement of Jacob’s and Cara’s attention and service

The Spa and Pool are a popular facility, the spa jets have been marked for attention by the servicing personnel.

We hope to be your hotel of choice when you next visit Melbourne

Stayed here in March 2013 in a standard room. Very impressed! As it was a brand new hotel, everything was clean and perfect. Lots of room in the basement car park. The pool and restaurant had not yet been completed so can't comment on that. One slight little drawback was the lack of hotel information in the room, i.e. a folder of some sort. But I'm dismissing this as the hotel had just opened for business. Location a bit far from restaurants in the area unless you go to Victoria Markets or its vicinity. Overall, five stars from me, will stay again.
