“Excellent dumplings at reasonable price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

Enjoyed a number of varieties of dumplings at lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is very small and always has at least a short line for waiting. The wait was short, and we ordered while in line. Everything was hot, fresh, and very tasty,

“Cash only”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

It's a very small place so the line to get inside can wrap around the street. By the look of the people waiting, it looked promising. Alas, I was disappointed yet again. Although the soup inside the xiao long bao was decent, the wrapper was thick. Plus, the dumplings get stuck together and pierces both, spilling precious soup even when you delicately try to pull them apart. And finally, service isn't superb. You feel rushed so they can fill the tables right away.

“Disappointed”

Don't eat duck. Over cooked and salty and oily. When I mention this was told its always same. Yuck. Couldn't eat it.

“One of the best dumplings in Melbourne”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Very small place with limited tables. Never a good idea to queue for a table, or you will end up queueing for more than 40 mins or so on an average.
Take Away is swift. Yummy dumplings.

“I Like, I Like !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

Firstly I would have to state the obvious that if you tried to ring up to make a booking, the staff would laugh at you. That's if they have a telephone. . . all jokes aside; on a Friday at 5:45pm the wait was 35 minutes.

I do wonder if they take telephone bookings for takeaway because it seems that there’s another line inside for takeaway which is about a fifth of the length of the outside queue for a table.
Anyway, once we finally received our meal, the Xiao long bao and steamed prawn combination dumplings were pretty good but we were very pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian spring onion pancake and the vegetarian dumplings which were extra yummy.

Since this was our first time, we’ll be back to test some of the other dishes. I gotta come back to try those Shanghai buns which we noticed on the other tables. Yummy !
