We stayed at the Citadines on Bourke and this small restaurant is just up the road. We decided to try it after seeing the happy hour sign and really enjoyed the traditional style food, rather than westernised rubbish from other places. We enjoyed the novelty of mixing our own sauce, and even ordered more food after trying our first lot of Gyoza, yum! Will return on our next trip to Melbourne and maybe try some of the sake's on offer, as there were a lot! Just go there, it's great!

We stumbled across this little eatery just down from our accommodation whilst coming home from a show. It was about 11:30 at night & we were welcomed in. It's quaint decor was cute & the service was great. We just picked a few random items off the menu with the help of the waitress & were pleasantly surprised by all. It is somewhere I will definitely back to.

During "Happy Hour" which is before 6:00 pm, for just $8.90 you will get Orion tap beer plus Gyoza of your choice (4 pieces). That is a bargain! Orion beer is made in Okinawa, southern part of Japan, you cannot get it in tap very often in Australia.

Gyoza (dumpling) is made fresh every day, there are so many varieties to cater for all. Vegetarian had even 2 options. Yummy with great authentic Japanese service. If it is a group of 4, you can get a nice boxed corner just like in Japan.

We added additional Gyoza plate, and other Japanese "izakaya" menu and had a great dinner. Some might think that the Gyoza portion is smaller compare to other Chinese dumpling places but I would say "quality than quantity". Not to be missed in Melbourne.
