we were looking at stopping here but decided against it. So many people out and about on Sunday that it would not have been a relaxing morning tea. Had a look, and decided against it. Left it to the hipsters. :)

I was wondering around looking for an outfit fir my nieces wedding when a lovely young lady said go to Degraves St. I was so surprised. A little slice of Melbourne I had not yet explored, with a bit of everything. Quaint shops, beautiful cafes/restaurants ......and i found my outfit

THE place for Street Food with eateries serving cuisines from every nook and corner of the world, clean, ample sitting areas, lovely desserts and reasonable prices, tucked snugly right opposite Flinder's Street Station.

Would love to go back for more !!

Degraves is a very cool street if you want to have some food and coffee. But nowadays is so busy very hard to find a place to sit outside. But still it's very live and dark. A good open vibe to it. Deifinitely worthwhile having a look at, but not necessarily sitting down.

On every visit to the city we always ensure that we visit one or other of the numerous cafes. They all have excellent food and the chocolate mud cake has to be experienced. do not miss this street!

In Spain in any large city there are lots of narrow streets full of cafes. This is just like Spain. A narrow street full of places to eat just near the station. Great place to eat or have a drink. After work the place is full of well dressed people drinking and laughing

A possible bucket list for my next Melbourne visit could well be to eat at a different Degraves St establishment each day until the choice is exhausted. I would then not feel like I may have missed out on something special. So many different delicacies to choose from and although we could only manage 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch in 4 days - one thing is a sure bet - you will find something to tempt your taste buds and the coffee will be good and strong. Enjoy the atmosphere whether in a bit of a rush or happy to people watch a little savouring the sights, sounds and smells. Not famous without reason.

This street is a must-see, don't skip it. Great for coffee and/or lunch. Great people watching, too.

We stopped by here on a busy Saturday morning for brunch. The tables in the alley were crammed together but it was a great vibe. Table service, and the different shape tables belonged to the different cafes along the street. We appreciated the heaters as it was a bit chilly! Cafe Andiamo’s Gigante breakfast was huge for only $19.50 - it was so filling that I didn’t eat again until 9pm after our 10:30am brunch! Great place for brunch if you want to experience the hustle and bustle vibe of the city. Great location to eat before heading off for whatever CBD or sporting complex activities you have planned
