This is a great hotel in an excellent location for exploring Melbourne. The trams are located out the front and the attached restaraunt provides a nice breakfast buffet. We had adjoining rooms with twin beds for the kids and a double for my wife and I. Both rooms came with large plasma TV's and the master room had a kitchenette with dishwasher, microwave and stovetop. Minor problems were that the dishwasher had no cuttlery baskey, no spatula for cooking and the rangehood didn't work (We were in room 1041 & 1042 if management is reading this!) Was not a major problem as we ate out at Melbournes brilliant cafes most nights. The rooms have double windows which kills most of the noise from the trains below but I recommend requesting a high floor room. Room service was promt and tasty and the hotel has a pool which is free for guests.

Great location with undercover parking with lift access to floors, Yarra river and city views, walking distance to Crown casino complex, South Bank, great restaurants and shopping. Large 1 bedroom suite with king bed, flat screen and bathroom access, in lounge double sofa bed, full kitchenette stone bench tops. Best of all a balcony to soak up those views!

nice breakfast room ,good choice of food ,staff polite
reception staff on evening duty ,always helpful polite ,nice smile when you came back on a evening out
our stay in melbourne was going well until last day ,unlucky for it was a public holiday ,nearly everthing was closed ,e had a 13.00hrs pick up to the air port ,but had to be out of the room at 11 am ,am reception staff knew this .
we went for a walk ,but everything was shut ,went back to the hotel to wait for our transfer ,the hotel breakfast was closed ,no cafe near by open ,no water machine so we could get a drink ,all this time not one of the reception asked us if we would like a drink while your transport turns up ,they knew evrything was closed ,we fell their let down at this point with their customer relations .
once back in the uk got a small gift ,and a voucher from the hotel ,which was very nice of them ,its a pitty it happened as we was enjoying our stay at this hotel

The perfect place to stay in Melbourne with children. Spacious rooms with all the convenient amenities of home (Full kitchen facilities and laundry facilities). Although located on a very busy corner once you step inside it feels calm and quiet. Staff aim to please and are polite and friendly. The location is a great base in which to explore the city especially with the free City Circle tram at your door step and only walking distance (with kids) to many great attractions. However, the veiw is so captivating from the Riverview rooms that you'll want to stay in and order room service like we did (meals were quite reasonalby priced).

We were very happy with the Clarion and thought it was reasonable priced for it quality. Nothing was any trouble to the staff. We enjoyed the restaurant where the staff would always find the time for a chat. The view at night was just fantastic. We give it 10/10

Every so often we like to getaway for a a night or 2 but we haven't had an experience like this for a while- at least not one worth writing about. I had read great reviews about this hotel and though $230 for a one bedroom apartment seemed a little pricey , I just had to book it just to see what the hype was all about and cross it off my list. Imagine my surprise at check-in when I was told by the Executive Assistant Manager that we had been upgraded to the PENTHOUSE suite on the 19th floor! I can't remember his name but if you're reading this, thank-you for making our day. It was more than we ever expected, from the sheer size and opulence of the room& balcony, to arguably the best view in Melbourne. Also, the beds were very very comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful- could not have asked for much more. Parking was an extra $20 but worth it for the security & convenience. What a great hotel & what a day! Thanks again! I would highly recommend this place & would love to revisit in the near future.
