We popped into The Imperial before a movie and had the soft shelled crab starter plate ($16) and fish (flathead) and chips ($18 or $19), and both were quite good. There was only one soft shelled crab accompanied by plenty of tasty chips and a small salad, so not great value. The fish and chips were plentiful and very good, though the fish could have been a bit more crispy. We had a decent New Zealand Pinot Noir ($34). All of the servers were friendly enough - all female and young and pretty, though one was not terribly knowledgable about wines since she looked in the fridge when I ordered the Pinot. Sitting at an outside table or just inside the open glass doors on busy Chapel Street provides great people watching. All in all a decent visit.
