We love the new vibe of South Wharf, Melbourne. Even though it is within Dockland, it feels more like an extension of Southbank. There are a lot of good restaurants and on our last visit we went to The Boatbuilders Yard. The food is good and there is a wide choice. Plenty of seats so no problem with just turning up.

An excellent alternative to the Hilton breakfast buffet. Try the Sicilian Breakfast. Right on the wharf. Relax and eat economically.

I went here for Sunday brunch. I was a bit late and just in time for the breakfast menu.

Their big breakfast was interesting, in a good way. Rather than the usual fare, it included items such as: thick cut bacon, one huge mushroom, and a hash brown to die for.

A great spot throughout the day. They have signs up urging you to ask if you want the heaters on because it's cold and to borrow an umbrella and return it later if it's wet. Inside and outside spaces; table seating or deckchairs.

Great bacon, fried egg and cheese ciabata roll and drink (cappuccino) for 10 dollars. Sets you up for the day
