“Open Day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

Was well worth visiting to see what it is like inside. The rooms are magnificently decorated & the gardens are lovely. Didn't stop for scones but they looked nice. I hope they find the 'Mace; soon. Good luck !!!!!

“Hidden Gem of Melbourne's Tourist Trail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

I was astonished to find I was the only person on my tour of the grand, massive building that houses the Parliament of Victoria right in the heart of the city. The interiors are lavish and the tour takes you on a good look at the building's most important parts: the Queen's Hall, the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. The guides all work for each House of Parliament and provide unrivaled insights and stories that enhance the experience of admiring the lavish interiors and rich history of the building. Make sure you get a good look at the opulent Legislative Council chamber: it is so beautiful I could have sat on the comfy benches and looked at it all day. Shame there is no gift shop.

“Fantastic interior decorated building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

We took a free tour of the Parliment building. The guide was great and inside the building is fantastic. As it was not a Parliment sitting day we were able to spend time in both houses, the library and peak at the dining room. The building looks very much a building in europe and is well maintained. The tour takes about 90 minutes and you will also learn a little about the Victorian history.

It is in a commanding position. The surrouinding gardens are lovely. Lots of State history, cool in summer, cold in winter.
