We stayed here for three nights. From reading reviews and looking at photos of the ugly building I would have gone elsewhere except it was close to relatives. My impressions were generally confirmed. The room we had was very small with hardly room to walk around the bed. There was only one bedside light and the switch on it was broken. There were also no extra blankets provided for what proved to be a cold few days in Melbourne. The air conditioning was remotely controlled from the reception desk which was odd as we had to call them to turn it up or down.
On the positive side though it was relatively cheap for its location close to the North Melbourne shops and tram line and the people at the reception desk were always friendly and helpful. We even got a view of the city as our room was at the back.More
