We enjoyed this trip to Yarra Valley with our guide Paul. We stopped at 4 different vineyards to try their wines (sparkling, white and red). For us the third stop of the day at Punt Road was the best. They had a really nice Chardonnay and an even better Viognier (white)! It's nice to see some experimenting in this region. For Europeans Australian wine is very expensive, but here we were happy to pay the price. This wine (Viognier and Shiraz) was really worth it.
Chandon was interesting to see, but the wines didn't live up to our expectations. But then I'm sure they don't serve their best for the tasting.
