Such a gorgeous street. At night even more beautiful. Stroll along the Paris end to check out amazing shops and boutiques

Collins Street has some of the most exclusive shops in Melbourne. They rather ambitiously name the Spring Street end "The Paris End". Compared to Paris, some long established names have yet to land on Australian soil. For the best view of Collins St, head to the Sofitel's Atrium bar on the 35th floor, and the fantastic floor to ceiling window in the toilets. Homesick Brits can shop at "Treats from Home" in Australia on Collins. Towards the Southern Cross end there are collection of Victorian financial institutions which made huge amounts of wealth during the gold rush days. For a time Melbourne was the 4th richest city in the British Empire. Today it has the greatest concentration of preserved Victorian buildings in the world. The Gothic Bank and 333 Collins Street are fine examples of high gothic art.

I love to wander Collins Street with my camera and find things that people don't see because of the hustle and bustle of their workday. I wandered around, watched Police trainees being taught traffic management and just enjoyed the atmosphere of this beautiful street.

My family spent 8 days in a rented apartment right in the center of collin street. The street has some very old scenic and beautiful buildings with modern highrise ones. The building where we stayed is a 1932 historic building which has retained its external beauty. the Manchester Unity building.
Collin street is situated between spring street and spencer street. Take a leisure walk starting from Southern cross station, along the way you can admire the shops, eating outlets, old and new buildings. If you feel tired of its surroundings, make a left detour at any road junction where the the next street is little collin street walking a bit further, melbourne famous street- Bourke Street. Melbourne CBD walking makes to get around and discover the best of this vibrant city.

It was very posh and we felt very outta place walking down Collins Street. The hidden shops in the arcades are fantastic and I could search through them for hours! Lots of hustle and bustle going on and people everywhere! The buildings are magnificent, lots of things to look at and everything you could possibly need is easily found! Never seen so many fast food chains all together, they are just everywhere! So many different food options from every culture you can imagine! A foodie's dream!!
