Owner description: Melbourne’s iconic Princess Theatre is regarded by many as Melbourne’s most spectacular landmark. Dating back as far as 1854, the theatre was purchased by Marriner Theatres in 1986 and plans were immediately put in place for its total refurbishment to ensure its future viability as a live theatre venue. The Princess Theatre reopened in 1989 with the musical ‘Les Miserables’ followed by ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ which established a new record for the longest-running show ever staged in Victoria. Today, it continues to host some of the world’s most renowned theatre productions.

Dress circle seats, row B in the 20's gave excellent viewing, thankful for intermission to stretch legs! My partner is 6ft 2 & his knees hit the front f row A chairs so small seats. Legally Blonde was a great mix of humour, song, dance. The Princess Theatre itself whilst grand from outside with lights & signs & people & buzz, inside its seen its day and in need of repair in certain areas (carpet, cracks in walls, roof, painting). Overall a pleasant evening & venue but could do with a renovation.

Went to the Saturday matinee session to see Legally Blonde. Enjoyed the musical a lot, seats were OK (end of the row in the stalls) and the staff were professional and attentive.

Would have liked a little more room to squeeze my 6' frame, as the person in front was so close that it felt like they were on my lap...

Legally blonde musical was fantastic! A real light hearted, entertaining show. Had you on the egde of your seat with laughter abd excitement. Characters were played very well by all the actors. A real night of enjoyment. Very pleased!

Legally Blonde is a wonderful musical for all the family..it's such a shame it's closing early. My average rating relates to the Princess Theatre itself not the show. The seats are very uncomfortable. They are low to the ground. There is not enough room between rows for latecomers to get to their seats without disturbing people already seated. You have to stand up which I don't mind but even then it's a struggle for people to get through.
