The Forum is fantastic venue to see live bands - so much character. The Pretenders were a highlight.

The design of the exterior and the statues in the interior make this as interesting for what there is off the screen than on it. Old style cinema, with snack bar, lounge, toilets. Seeing is believing.

Walking past this beautiful building & met Chris the manager who kindly invited us in to see Jet in concert - could not believe this incredible gesture & I sincerely hope we can return the favor one day somehow? His love of the building shines through & I wish him all the very best for the future.

The venue is well set up for a concert! Easy access to bars and toilets. The staff were amazing and it was so easy to get out once the concert ended.

Went here for the first time last week to a concert. The decor was amazing so beautiful. Was like u were in old times in the romans or cesears palace. Made it feel like the night was coming inside. Great venue for a concert.
The concert we went to was standing room only but was some booths. The staff and security did an amazing job to make it a wonderful event. Nive and intimate for a concert. Lots of parking and food places near by and easy access from transport as well.

Every time we see an event at the Forum, I am always amazed at its beauty. The Roman decor and the lighting are just gorgeous. We were there most recently for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. I hope this place never changes!

Went to see Urzila Carslon comedian at the Forum. It is a lovely old place keeping it in its original style giving it character. The seating are on plastic seats that can be removed on the wooden floor. The show was opened up to more seating beyond the drop down seating floor area. We were close to the stage off to the side. Had no trouble seeing the performer. Urzila was very funny, had me in stitches and laughing all the way through the one hour show. I have seen numerous comedians over the years through the Melbourne Comedy festival. She is one of the few who can keep going throughout the whole hour having you laughing the whole time without any flat spots. I notice the "black spot" time when the routines go flat is around the 40 minutes. When it finished you felt you wanted to stay and see more. Great comedian - will love to see her again.

Quaint, cosy little theatre we visited during the Melbourne Comedy Festival recently. Looks well used (but in a nice way) and caters for various events as there doesn’t seem to be any fixed seated, only temporary removable chairs which obviously can be removed for standing room only shows etc. still the seats were comfortable enough for the hour long event. Only issue is there are very few seating numbers on the chairs and you have to count yourself to your seat and hope you don’t get it wrong.
The floor plan is pretty flat and the chairs aren’t staggered enough so if you find yourself behind a large person (which I did) you will have a little trouble seeing the static unmovable comedian lol. The theatre itself is beautifully adorned with ancient creek architecture and subtle lighting and there are more than enough bars scattered about the place to wet your thirst.
A nice little theatre in a good location.

A great venue for the comedy festival. Have not been here for decades but is well maintained and suits the edgy and spontaneous nature of the festival. Saw Urzila Carlson. Prefer her televised version where her language is not a feature and her comedy can be appreciated more. Melbourne does the comedy festival well

Great small venue, no issue getting to toilets or the bar, it was a standing only concert but this was good, the whole place rocked, easy to get to by parking in fed square
