Lovely gardens to stroll around in with a few sights. Captain Cook's cottage is worth a short visit given the relatively cheap entrance fees. The dolphin fountain is charming. I did see a sign for a mini tudor village, but never did find it? Next time.

went in autumn and all the leaves were in their height of glory! Loved the conservatory too, such a nice warm paradise to escape chilly old melbourne! had to play in the big piles of leaves like a three year old because it was just so much fun! great park for the kids too as there is a miniture villiage and a great slippery slide shaped like a dragon-- had to give that a go to! wheeeee!

The really good thing about the Fitzroy Gardens is that if you are on a family picnic or outing you can still kick a football or throw a frisby here. A great place for extended family get-togethers.

I run here several times a week. Excellent number of paved footpaths. The park is set on a natural slope, so offers mild uphill and downhill too. Plenty of grassy areas for picnics. Several water features to admire and of course the gardens themselves. Beautifully kept. Has a cafe in the middle of the park too.

These gardens are a peaceful space in the middle of the bustle of a big city. It is lovely to be able to wander through them and enjoy the beautiful trees - quite rejuvenating.
