Stayed in early January and had a great stay. Check in was a breeze and we headed up to our 2 bedroom executive apartment on the 18th floor. The room was huge, with kitchen, and a very comfortable living area. 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed where my mother stayed, and my sister and I shared the room with 2 singles and ensuite. The balcony was a little bit daunting (if you are afraid of heights) but enjoyable with a glass of wine after a long day of shopping and sight seeing. Great views from the main bedroom, and the lounge, especially at night when the city comes to life.

The service was great, with the reception staff always pleasant and eager to assist you in fiinding your way around Melbourne. Location couldn't be better - it's a 5 minute walk to Southbank and Flinders St station. There is no need for a car in Melbourme, as the trams get you everywhere you need to go.

No on-site restaurant, but staff have plenty of options for guests, only 2 or 3 minutes walking distance. We had breakfast at a differerent restaurant each day and all were huge servings.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend to everyone.

whilst apartments represented good value with an early internet booking, the staff are not the most helpful. The worst part about it was a non functioning shower (all apartments had very ordinary water pressure though with cheap bathroom fittings) so we had to wash from the basin or borrow our friends' shower . Problems with taxi bookings too which the staff weren't too interested in. the worst pillows (hard) I have experienced and all our friends said the same.

Stayed for 1 night, as part of a special birthday treat for our 16 year old daughter. We had a 2 bedroom apt, it was very clean and comfortable. The lounge area was quite small, ok for a nights stay but would have been cramped for a longer stay. If you have young children would probably be ok. One thing that was a small problem was the shower door in the ensuite, it opened inwards making it a tight squeeze, to get in or out you had lean against the cold shower wall. It was a bit annoying, if you are tall or a bit bigger it could be a problem. Not far from Southbank in a quiet area. We parked our car at crown and walked. Reception staff were pleasant, would be happy to stay here again.

Stayed at the Quest Hotel for one night, with friends who had booked it and already stayed a week. The rooms were very spacious and the view from the balcony was amazing! We stayed in a two bedroom room, which was very tidy and had a great heater and very comfortable chairs and beds. It was very close to the casino and the city but the staff were quite rude. I would definately go back there again! I would recommend the Quest to teenagers, singles, adults with kids, or basically anyone who is looking for a great hotel to stay in!

Stayed for a week for conference/trade show and we chose a executive apartment which had a nice view and standard amenities etc. Car park was really hard to get in unless you have a mini minor - forget a four wheel drive. Reception was really rude and when I asked about some of the charge on the account - he got really stroppy. They need to improve their service.

Recently stayed at the Quest. The location worked well for us. However, it was NOT close to a train station. Flinders Street station was a good 10 minute walk. We had a two bedroom apartment and it was spacious. It was nice having a washer and dryer in one of the bathrooms. The place was a little dated and the carpet was dirty. Minimum housekeeping was done during our stay. The heater in our room was not working and after talking with the front desk nothing was done. I would probably look elsewhere if I returned to Melbourne.

Our stay was not to bad, we only spent 5 hours in our room as we were out most of the night. We left the room with lettle mess but hours after leaving we were called and told we had to pay $100 for a stain on the carpet. It was a red stain we were told which was impossible as we had no drinks in the room. We explained this and they were very rude saying we had signed a form saying we would pay for any damage. What can ya do? Nothing. Never going back and reccomend if you read this choose elsewhere.
