Our stay was not to bad, we only spent 5 hours in our room as we were out most of the night. We left the room with lettle mess but hours after leaving we were called and told we had to pay $100 for a stain on the carpet. It was a red stain we were told which was impossible as we had no drinks in the room. We explained this and they were very rude saying we had signed a form saying we would pay for any damage. What can ya do? Nothing. Never going back and reccomend if you read this choose elsewhere.

We expected more for what we paid.
Fairly small, booked a 1 bedroom apartment and got 'just' that. Everything was old and tired looking. The handle on the door to the balcony came off in your hand and the whole apartment needed lots of minor repairs to bring it up to a reasonable standard. The bed itself was closed in on three sides with a small opening to enter from the rest of the apartment. This made it stuffy and even though we left the airconditioner on before we went out the bed area was still hot when we returned. The rest of the apartment was nice and cool though. Friends had a 2 bedroom apartment and seemed to have a much better deal.

Was very centrally located, near casino, can walk into CBD. We had a 2 bedroom apt, great views and very spacious, would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Quest for 5 nights and picked the location because it was close to central Molbourne but quieter and set away. Next time we visit Melbourne, I would probably choose to stay in the city more so there is less walking and transport options are closer. I don't mind walking but we were there is Winter and it rained a few times so it made it uncomfortable.

Unlike the other lucky reviewers on here, we didn't get an upgrade and we were on the 1st level in a one bedroom apartment. We didn't see many other guests in our time there and it seemed to be the low season. The balcony is the size of a telephone booth and looked out on the street. We had originally requested a room with a view, but that wasn't what we expected :)

The apartment was nice and clean and the bedroom was separate from the living area, there is a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom which is good to have if you have an extended stay or are going on to other places before returning home.

We didn't hear any noise and ended up sleeping in most mornings because it seemed so dark, which was nice to do on holiday but some people might find it annoying.

Reception staff were helpful and friendly and the free internet in the reception area was good.

Overall this was a good experience, and did represent the price that we paid.

Stayed here for two nights in early April for a conference, midweek. Booked a one bedroom apartment via the property's website for AUD149 per night.

On arrival at around 9am, the welcoming staff not only found me an apartment that was ready but upgraded me to a two bedroom executive -I did ask nicely if they could find me a high-ish floor with a nice view - so a pleasant and welcome surprise. Also surprising that the building is right behind the National Gallery of Victoria, which is right next door to the Arts Centre (my conference venue). Southbank Promenade and the Crown complex/casino is the next street towards the river.

The apartment was clean and the ensuite was as roomy as the main bathroom (which had a bath) and another surprise ... large fluffy towels!!! Windows opened in all rooms and the balcony had a large sliding door. Although I didn't use the kitchen or separate laundry, they were both well equipped.

Another nice touch was the free internet facility downstairs (two pcs
plus printer set up for guest use) at reception, 15 minutes max or longer if no one was waiting. Very handy for confirming your airline seat the next day via online check-in. The reception/office is open 24 hours so that's reassuring.

There is a busy but efficient cafe directly next door at street level, serving locals (the barista knew most of them by name) on the way to work, business people having breakfast meetings, tourists, students etc. Menu is comprehensive for such a compact place - including four to five egg ways and fresh fruit, coffee and nudies - and fast service too, with a smile.

It was quiet (17th floor) and I slept well, not hearing any other guests or traffic, as the property is not on a main road.

Pretty much standard overall, but I rate it higher because of the welcoming staff, the large ensuite, free internet, the upgrade and decent towels. Someone even left me a jug of chilled water in the fridge!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night and the apartment was quite nice. Check in was quick and easy with the front desk lady very nice. The apartment was decked out with everything including full kitchen, laundry and tv with fox sports, discovery channel etc. Some of the furniture was a bit rough around the edges and the quality of the furnishings was probably towards the cheaper end.
There was an ensuite off the main bedroom and both beds were very comfortable. We also had a fifth person stay on a roll away bed and she said that even that was comfortable. It was quite noisy the next morning as we were facing construction going on so maybe request a room not facing this side. If you are needing a base close to southbank which as numerous places to eat and not far from crown this is a great place to stay. We only paid for the 5 of us AUS$220, so it was great value.
