The hotel is in such a fabulous location that you will not need your own car - from here you can visit all of Melbourne either on foot or by tram.

One night stay only, but quite comfortable for the price. Must keep in mind that I did book through Wotif though, so I did pay a reduced price (from what their website was trying to sell for anyway).

Contrary to some other reviews, the staff seemed quite pleasant in my limited transactions with them.

Booked the 2 bedroom appartment for 1 night, drove into the city knowing that the appartment had (what I thought was free) secure parking and we had to drive to the other side of Melbourne the following day. I checked in and just questioned why we had to pay for parking as I thought it was included in the price (It was my mistake) but what shocked me was the receptionist's attitude to this, you would of though with the way he reacted that I had asked him to get his man boobs out!! not what I expected. Apart from this petty response from this one staff member, everything else was fine, the location was good, appartment was a good size (booked the double roomed appartment) very good for the price that we paid. We booked it just before christmas so got it for a very good price, not sure of the usual price. But there was one other concern the room with the two single beds had a balcony, which is fine if the sliding door could be locked with a key from the inside, so we were a bit concerend about the kids, so had to put a few things in front of the sliding door, just incase the kids decided to be nosey. But have noticed this in a few appartments/rooms with balconies you can never lock them with a key, there might be a reason for this, but would rather have a lockable (with a key) sliding doors - just piece of mind if you've got kids.
Overall a good place to stay especially for city centre shopping, theatre etc. due to the location and thought it was good value for money, and room was clean and of a good size. But just felt that the staff weren't really up to standard.

We stayed for 5 nights recently and booked into a 1 bedroom apartment. We were allocated a front apartment initially which we found noisy at night due to the traffic in City Road. Fortunately (?) we had a toilet that failed to turn off and the Manager Russell, transferred us to a rear facing 1 bed apartment (larger than the original) which was much quieter.
Both rooms were of a good layout and had modern furnishings, including a plasma TV.
I would like to acknowledge Russell's professionalism and friendly nature in the way he assisted us, not only did he try to fix the toilet but went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and in a room that suited us.
All the staff are friendly and the location is good with access to the city centre easy thru the Southbank promenade and over the St Kilda Rd bridge (Trams stop) or the foot bridge which leads you thru Flinders Rail Station.
The gym and pool area were very good.
Thanks to Russell our stay was that much better!!

This really is a good value for money four star hotel in a convenient relatively central Melbourne location. The rooms are neat and tidy and the bed comfortable with all you would need for a business stay. The full hot buffet breakfast is very convenient and well prepared. the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. The meeting rooms on the first floor are private and well appointed. I just felt that there are signs starting to appear that if not rectified will become a problem. Minor cosmetic repairs and broken balcony door latches/tint on the windows/balcony walls peeling. These are not deal breakers but would be so easy to repair. Overall a pleasant experience
