Great service. Fantastic room. Loved the free apples! Stayed here for two nights in April 2007. Great location -- right near Flinders Station and within walking distance to major attractions and the light rail. Everyone was very friendly. Stayed with Starpoints and was upgraded. Beautiful marble bathrooms and comfy westin sleeper beds. Highly recommend!

Great Hotel! Bed is Very comfortable, big marble bathrooms. View is OK onto the city square if you pick City View rooms (one step up from
the basic type).

Great movies. Very nice pool. The only downside is that they don't have a Spa at all; can organise massage on request but it's not at all the same as going to a luxurious spa facility. Location is very central and handy for either business or sight seeing. Restaurant is OK; would prefer to go out in town. Service very friendly. nice buffet breakfast. Happy overall! Will definitly be happy to stay there again!

The Westin is by far my favourite in Melbourne. Its a quality property in one of the best locations in the city.

Apart from all the usual trappings of the inner city - such as the designer shops of Collins Street - you can easily walk across the river to Soutbank or to Chinatown a few blocks in the other direction.

The rooms are beautifully appointed in a classic style and maintained to a very high standard. The bathroom is huge with a lovely big, deep bath. Perfect for two!

Its rare for me to recommend a hotel restaurant but the Allegro on level one is well worth a visit - albeit a little pricey. Or you could try the bistro across the road from the Collins street entrance.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the Westin in Melbourne and once again it was an absolutely lovely experience. It is by far my favourite hotel in Australia. The staff really do go out of their way for you, and nothing is too much bother. The room was fantastic, the amenities lovely, the breakfast the next morning in the restaurant was a real treat. Spectacular scrambled eggs! A great spread sure to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. I really cannot emphasise my unequivocal recommendation of this hotel. A fine place!

This hotel is almost perfect.

The hotel is conveniently located near to Flinders St station and Federation Square. The hotel decor is clean and modern. Staff are very confident and professional. The rooms are a good size. The bathroom was spacious with a seperate rain shower and good lighting. The hotel also offers a very good buffet breakfast (ask for a table on the balcony if the weather is good).

The gym features cardio machines with TV screens, some resistance machines and free weights. One minor criticism is that the gym had a bench press but no bar-bells. One other minor criticism is that the TV channels in the room were somewhat limited (no BBC World for example).

If I was returning to Melbourne, I would definitely stay here again. I wouldn't even think of looking at any other hotel.

I have to agree with the last several posts. This hotel is flawless.
From the second you are greeted by the bell staff they are sincerely friendly. They have a great touch as you exit a taxi. They give you a card with the taxi company and taxi cab number in case you leave anything in the taxi.

The front desk staff was very effecient and professional. The staff member walked me to the elevator to familarize me with its operation.

The rooms are very nice as well. Extremely large bathrooms and our room was very nice with an amazing view of the city. Housekeeping offered turn down service nightly.

This hotel seems to be a popular place with local businessmen for happy hour.

I can't say enough good things about this property. It was built right, maintained right, and is managed right.
