We stayed here with another couple in April for 3 nights in a two bedroom apartment. The location was perfect for us - right near Chinatown, walking distance to the MCG (we had travelled to Melbourne for the Anzac Day match), and close to everything else we needed.
The accommodation was basic but comfortable - but we were not in the room for a great deal of time as we were too busy out exploring. It is also located in quite a busy area so if you are planning on going to sleep early on a weekend, you're better off staying somewhere else - There are several clubs and pubs located nearby that keep partying til the early hours of the morning.
The dishwasher was quite dirty so we didnt use it. Also couldnt get the Foxtel to work but again, we werent in the room much to use it anyway.
The reception staff were helpful in ordering us cabs to the airport and answering any other questions we had.
Overall, a good base if you want a city stay and are planning on being out and about more and looking for somewhere to retreat to after dinner and drinks.

A group stayed here in May 2014 in a two separate 2 bed apartments, so we got to see what the place was really like.

Upon check-in reception was very friendly and welcoming, and even accommodated us 1 hr before normal check-in time, which was wonderful. And also the car parking is a private company, but it is immediately next door, so was not a drama. The first drama we encountered was reading the directions on our printed guide to help us navigate the THREE different elevators/floors we had to traverse just to get to our floor. Now that was the most convoluted entrance ever, we walked from a car park, through a shopping centre, and then through random hallways just to enter the apartment building.

Once we had settled in to our serviced apartment, we tried to make ourselves a couple of drinks, but we quickly found out we only had the option of those tiny cups you see in motels, wrapped in the paper bag, or wine glasses. Nether of which suited us if you were thirsty. And then there was the ice, or lack thereof. Unfortunately they did not provide an ice tray (which is standard judging past experiences with staying around Melbourne). So we very quickly learned that this place was missing quite a bit of the basics from the kitchen. that was disappointing.

We had a balcony with opening door in my room, but our friends in their room had a broken door, it would not open so they could not head outside or get some fresh air through the room in the morning. On top of that 2 of the blinds were broken and were unable to be closed, so at night they had no privacy in the lounge area.

Moving onto the bedroom, these were large and well furnished, but the mattress may as well have been thrown out the window, it was thin and terrible. This was a general consensus amongst our group when discussing the next day.

The music coming from the city was quite loud, but as soon as we shut the windows it was all blocked out, no dramas from trams/music/cars throughout the night.

So my closing statement is that this place was tried out purely because of location, but we will be returning to our regular spot which is Plum Serviced Apartments in Southbank. We were not happy with our stay at this location

Room Tip: try not to get a room facing market lane

Booked top of the range 3 bedroom for family reunion and so many things weren't up to scratch or lacking or didn't work. Eventually things were rectified but my point is we should not have been given the room with so many faults or omissions. Servicing each day consisted of fresh towels and pulling up the beds....no sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning of bathrooms. We loved the location. We loved the fact the apartment was huge but definitely tired and in need of attention. Such as doors jamming. Pool area which has been redone is lovely but could do with some chairs of something near the pool to put your gear. Not surei would stay there again.

Immediate impression of the apartment was Ok but that changed in seconds. Crumbs and rice visible on the couches, hair everywhere, on furniture and floors (that are also stained and dirty), cigarette butts visible on a locked balcony (why have one at all if it is locked by the way?), bathroom with hair and dust everywhere. Once you find a few things that aren't right, you will look more closely- and find more - broken draws in kitchen with pieces shoved in draws, plastic bags in draws from previous guest, pots and pans put back dirty in cupboards, cutlery draw full of crumbs, dirty hotplates, fridge seals full of yuk and fridge shelving dirty, oven shelves greasy. Dust thick on every surface above eye level and below waist level - skirting, light fittings, under washing machine, behind beds, couches, TV cabinet, aircon. Dust is also a problem in the hotel common corridors and reception where it hangs over light fittings and skirtings throughout. Filter of aircon and dryer had not been cleaned, every shelf in every cupboard in the unit thick with dust, and in the case of the kitchen cupboards, greasy as well. Just not good enough. I called reception who did send someone up to do the obvious things but this person was hit and miss and I expected they would sort it out the next day or day after when the room was being serviced - but they did no such thing and there was no servicing of the room at all in five days as far as I can tell. Bed was not made at all during stay, nor were bins emptied or toiletries replenished - Indeed both bath gel and shaving cream dispensers (dirty) were empty on arrival. I sent an email to the manager of the property on the day I arrived, complete with the photos I have attached here and received absolutely no response at all. If the management don't care then it is hardly a surprise that the poor old housekeepers don't either. Only one staff member (on reception) offered to help at all, a very nice young man on my last night. the rest just shook heads and shrugged. For the price, this is just not good enough. Wifi is available but is way too expensive. TV channels are fine. View from balcony (once I got maintenance to unlock the door) is awful - next door's roofs and aircon units and balcony has no chair or anything to encourage you outside anyway - just a noisy aircon unit with cigarette butts and rubbish shoved behind..

Travelled with friends and we were pleased with our stay at the hotel. The apartments are in a good location, with Chinatown just next door and close to major attractions (Federation Square, Chinese Museum, State Library just a short walk away).

TV also comes with a wide range of Foxtel channels - a pleasant surprise. The hotel has WIFI but unfortunately it has to be paid for.

Where do I start? The smell, the pubic hair in the bathroom, the absolutely disgusting stains on the lounge, the cigarette butts on the balcony, the dirty kitchen, the uncomfortable mattresses or the un adjustable air conditioning!!!!! For a serviced apartment, it was ridiculous!! we came back from our day out to find the beds unmade and others looked like they were made from a four year old!
Some of the staff were clueless and should not be working in the industry! The manager didn't do anything about it! Needed sheets to cover the lounge so we had somewhere to sit. It was noisy and the floor was sticky as! I could go on and on. The only good thing about it was the location.

Hoping to arrive at a clean and suitable hotel/apartment, turned out to be the weekend from hell!
-None of us could freely walk around the room without wearing any socks or shoes because the floor was dirty and sticky.
-None of us could sit on the lounge without putting a sheet over it, because of the disgusting stains over it!
-For a serviced apartment the bed making was very poor and not even made at all some days!
-Rude staff and not helpful at all (including manager)!
-Uncomfortable mattresses.
