“Nice and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014

I was travelling with my bestie so was worried when we got in the room we would argue over who got the biggest bed as most hotels have one double and one single. So was absolutely delighted when we saw we both had a double bed. Room service was faultless meals arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious. The buffet breakfast downstairs was great too. Very friendly and helpful staff at all times. My one negativity about the room was the frosted glass doors leading in the bathroom it didnt give you enough privacy.

Room Tip: my advise would be tell reception what dynamic of persons will be staying in the room which i did wh...

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and mine was very quiet - no traffic noise and very little nosie from other rooms. The rooms a decent size - you've got a very comfortable bed, a chair, writing desk and television. The bathroom is on the small side but it's got everything that you need. Might be a bit crowded with two people though. Room was clean and well-maintained and quite stylish - the bedhead is amazing. It's a blown-up black and white photo of what I'm presuming is a Melbourne street scene. A nice touch. The check-in staff are very friendly and helpful. One small issue - the lighting in the room is quite dim - there is no overhead lighting expect in the entry and just two small lamps on each bedside table - which makes reading a bit of a strain on the eyes. But overall very satisfied with my stay

The nature of some older CBD hotels is that everything is smaller. From the reception space, to the restaurant & bar, to the lifts, to the bedroom & bathroom and this hotel is no different.

The room itself was nice with a lovely outlook to Fitzroy Gardens, a very comfortable bed and friendly & helpful staff.

The breakfast buffet was adequate, but needed to be topped up frequently due to the size.

Will stay here again but at discount rates when available.

Stayed at this hotel in Feb this year for White Night Melbourne and then again in March.

We were completely satisfied with the stay each time. There is late checkout on Sundays free of charge - either 12 or 2pm (can't remember).

Rooms are lovely and clean (bathrooms are small but fine for a short stay), service was fantastic and the staff are friendly and approachable. The Garden View rooms offer a lovely view.

The location is fantastic just on the edge of the CBD and short walk or tram ride to all the great things Melbourne has to offer - MCG, Fed Square, National Gallery, Botanical Gardens, Southbank and many more.

Highly recommend if you're considering staying in Melbourne for a short time and on a budget.

Trying different hotels in Melbourne CBD, this trip was Mercure Treasury Gardens on Spring Street. My room with a view was perfect looking out over the gardens and most importantly for this footy traveller, the Mighty MCG. Staff were fantastic and the room service timely, hot and tasty. Tania was on reception when I arrived and made me feel most welcome from the start. The rooms appear to have been refurbished and have everything you need in them. Mercure TG has gone up to the top of my list of places to stay in CBD for my weekends to the footy.

Location is everything at this hotel - perfectly positioned for exploring Melbourne. Rooms were a little small and the bathrooms are tiny, but fine for a short stay. Clean and very functional. Great buffet breakfast.
