The location is great. Close to everything but without the noise. Good rate on overnight parking. An alternative parking garage is available if the hotel parking is full. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. The room was very clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot. Good value.

Love the new refurbished rooms, the bathrooms although small were very mordern and clean. The little treats on the bed were a first class touch. Would love to come back and stay for a more leisurely experience thoroughly recommend this property.

Very comfortable bed, but the room generally was small. Inadequate seating, - i.e. one seat and second person had to sit on the bed. Good sized shower but the bathroom was too small to even put a toilet bag anywhere.

Great location. If travelling by car; approach from Flinders Street and turn into Spring Street as the carpark is only accessible one way. Car park has limited parking but if you are disabled, elderly or have young children with lots of luggage this is the only lift access to the foyer. Alternative parking is @ the "nearby" Sofitel with no valet parking. Travelling solo, getting to the room with young children & lots of luggage was exhausting after a long trip. Upsides; quiet room, comfortable Queen size beds, great blackout screen on the window & child friendly menu in their restaurant called "Lime". Nickelodeon on the TV would be an asset and towell to person ratio should be checked by hotel before check in.

The hotel was middle of the road. Disappointed with the lack of staff especially in the morning at breakfast when people could not be seated due to tables not clearwed and reset. Likewise the bar area. If you just want somewhere to put your head down then this hotel will suit.

We very much appreciate your feedback regarding your stay at the Mercure Melbourne.

While it was pleasing to note that you enjoyed some aspects of the hotel, I sincerely apologise that we let you down in Lime Restaurant and Bar. We normally pride ourselves on great service there and should have been better prepared for the group we had in. Rest assured I will address these issues with Lime team in order to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Should you allow us the opportunity to assist with your accommodation in the future please contact myself directly and I will be more than happy to ensure a pleasant stay.

Sincerely,

Phil O'Brien

This motel is situated on the edge of the CBD, but don't let that put you off. Its within walking distance of the city, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park & the MCG. We were checked in by Joshua, who is a credit to the motel. He had us checked in within a few mins & was on again, when we checked out. He has a great smile & friendly nature, which you don't find @ some places. The rooms were small, but clean & comfy. For the price, I highly recommend the Mercure @ Treasury Gardens (formerly Mercure Melbourne Spring Street)
