“blissful paradise in the heart of the city”

Melbourne is lucky to have such a large expanse of green in the heart of the city. Beautifully maintained and peaceful. A must-visit place to recharge your batteries.

“Beautiful gardens and moonlight cinema too.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Guilfoyle's Volcano near Gate C is an interesting feature to explore in these wonderful gardens located just across the Yarra River from Melbourne CBD. Check out the program for Moonlight Cinema - we had a ball lounging on our hired bean bags and singing along to Grease under the starry sky. There's lots to enjoy for all ages at these gardens - or just run around the Tan!

“A treasure in the heart of Melbourne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

I simply love the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. Apart from the wide variety of flora it's a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Great place for a stroll or a picnic and the moonlight cinema is well worth a visit. The Children's garden is a must for the wee kiddies. It's one of the best Botanic Gardens ever.

“walk around melbourne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

The botanical gardens are a free part of the melbourne landscape which are a great way to relax and chill. the gardens do get their fair share of joggers and power walkers, dog walkers etc but everyone is getting on with their own lives and they all seem to be very happy. a great place to stop and have refreshments there is a great cafe in the gardens which was a welcome break.

“A little bit of this and a little bit of that.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

Shady spots, sunny spots. Soft ground, hard ground, green ground, black ground, brown ground. Tall things, little things and in between in height things that may be black, or green or grey, or brown, or white things which may or may not be providing a home to a variety of creatures. And people of all sizes and ages getting around in all sorts of ways to enjoy this wonderful place some-one so long ago knew we would all love.
