“Flowers”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Beautiful setting for a Sunday lunch in late October on a sunny day with lots of ducks waddling about & many people feeding them contrary to instructions.
Heaps of people with their excited kids just added to the occasion, followed by a lovely walk as we enjoyed the flower & plant arrangements.
It is a place we visit usually once a month as it is so peaceful & the vistas are marvellous & the dining options are always great.
A pleasure to recommend to locals & visitors alike.

“Beautiful Gardens”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

This is well worth going to if the weather is nice, there are a few of you, and you take along a few beers.

Or just to go take some pictures of the gardens.

Perfect for a stroll on a beautiful Melbourne day. The Royal Botanic Gardens come to life in Spring. Very relaxing and tranquil in a bustling city. A MUST SEE

“Must-go but hard to get cab back”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Brought my young children to the Royal Botanic Gardens. Took under 20 minutes from the CBD to get there by cab. Loved the Children's Garden which was a cosy little place for moms and babes to hang out in with a little stream running through it. The lake was wonderful for duck-watching. Truly beautiful place for enjoying fresh air, sitting in the grass and running around. Only drawback was it was really hard to get a cab back, and because of the sheer size of the place we had quite a lot of walking to do, which got tiring after a bit for the little ones!
