At first it looks quite expensive... but perfection has no price :-)
I travel a lot but never experienced such a comfortable and luxurious place.

What you'd expect from a Park Hyatt. Understated, elegant and extremely comfortable. Other than the coffee station in the lobby (which was a nice touch), there was nothing special or unique about it - not like some other Park Hyatt's. Further, the Club Lounge was not open for breakfast and, on the two mornings I was there, I had to go to breakfast in the main restaurant (which was fine and good quality), BUT on neither day was I even offered a coffee. Instead, I had to get a coffee outside in the lobby lounge at the very cute coffee station. Rooms and bathrooms very spacious and comfortable, and the entire hotel was immaculately clean.

Stayed at the Park Hyatt for business in January.
Very good overall.
The location is good and bad - good in the sense that it's quiet, but bad in that it's away from restaurants, etc. near Flinders Station.
Rooms were pretty large for a standard, the gym was good, and so were the front staff. Concierge staff were hit or miss, either excellent or not really helpful. But didn't interact much with them, so no bother.

spent a night with hubby, lovely rooms very spacious. the bathroom was large and had a spa that you could fit 2 but side to side it wasn;t really a 2 person spa but we still used it..had a tv in the bathroom as well. had dinner at the restaurant - radii which was delicious, a little pricey escpecially for some standard wines however the food and service was great!! my only issue is the bed was a little soft for me but others a wonderful night out

We enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt Melbourne - well located (tree lined area just a 5 minute walk from central business distract) with great views of St. Patrick's church from our room. Our room was nicely sized and furnished, staff/concierge were helpful, the club lounge offerings each night were excellent. Only criticism was internet service - for use in rooms, the charge was $29.90 per day, per device (so if you have an iphone and a laptop - a hefty $60 daily fee). All in all, however, a very nice venue from which to explore Melbourne.

We liked this hotel; the rooms are lovely and spacious. The views on the park side are just fine, but there are other views that are little more than views into another room or a roof. The bathrooms were luxurious. Breakfast was the usual buffet, but tasty and with a wide variety. It was never a problem to find decent things to eat. Where the hotel completely fell down was on service. We were there in early January, but the hotel felt deserted in its public spaces. The lobby lounge was closed much of the day and all evening. There was no one in the bar. (We know that there were other guests, because we would see them at breakfast; otherwise, it felt deserted.) But what was terrible is that there wasn't enough staff for the guests who were there--there were lines at checkout, and the person doing the checkouts and checkins was also the "concierge." When serving in that capacity, they were clueless--one told us that reservations were not needed at several restaurants and, of course, when we got to all of them--they were booked out. A simple phone call could have saved us aggravation. (Honestly, I was shocked at how little these "concierges" knew. I suspect that they were temporarily in that capacity, and it showed.) The bell staff was often absent, and it really did feel like the hotel was operating at half staff. Having said all of this, it is a lovely hotel for business, and the rooms make it nice for other things as well. Oh, and the spa and pool were excellent!
