Excellent hotel for a getaway in the city. Hotel staff were helpful and well informed on local eateries. We stayed in a King Suite which I highly recommend, it was very spacious and well equipped. Excellent value when compared to a 5 star hotel.

Stayed at the Lindrum in October and November overnight. Great place for a Melbourne visit, close to the city and the gardens. Nice room with very comfy bed. On the second visit my room looked out onto a stairwell/carpark which I didn't love but I wasn't really there for the view. Room service after a long day at a meeting was most enjoyable - Ceaser salad with egg that was just right - a very pleasant surprise. Breakfast next morning was also very nice, good coffee, good service. I can chose where I stay when I visit Melbourne for work and I'll still chose to stay here again.

Room Tip: Not sure how you get a good room but probably request not to overlook stairwell/carpark.

Just had the pleasure of a two night stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Amenities are fabulous, so many extras included, such as DVDs and CDs. Fantastic location to play tourists in my own home town. Really friendly and helpful staff, Dermott was lovely as were all other staff we came in contact with. Hotel has such a wonderful feel to it. So much more personable than a big hotel. Definately hope to be a return guest.

Room Tip: I had a rear room, no view but size made up for it and when you are out all day no real problem. Really lovely suite. Room doors are so big, ( grand old building hence wonderful high ceilings), just need muscles to open them.

Stayed at the Hotel Lindrum for 2 nights

Seamless check in / check out, well fitted out room, no noise, reasonable bar prices, excellent breakfast and very clean room

Handy to Melbourne CBD and restaurants

Would stay again without hesitation

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel to keep away from noise on Flinders St

This is a very pleasing and well-run hotel--and if possible, the food is even better than the accomodations. Created from a converted snooker parlor, the hotel has charming rooms, well rennovated baths, high ceilings, solid walls for quiet, and very good service. The ground floor restaurant--Felt--serves an excellent dinner and a wide range of breakfast choices--all top quality food and wines. In addition, they offer complimentary internet access, which I'm coming to find is quite a rare priviledge in Australia.

But DO NOT park at the garage next door--you'll pay $90+ for parking from the afternoon til the following morning! You have to find other parking arrangements.
