Very close to everything.Very clean and well set out.Quite modern.Great for families.Only complaint was 2 bdrm didn't have enough seating for four.Kitchen is well set out so you could cook in there but eating places are also near by. Security to get in is tight too which I really liked.

After reading some rather negative reviews we were pleasantly surprised with Darling Towers on Collins! It definitely is a little rundown and could do with a paint job but the room was comfortable and had everything you would expect to find in a self contained apartment. The location was excellent with trams outside door and walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping etc. We would stay here again.

My friend and I stayed one night in a 2 bedroom apartment this week. I wouldn’t want to stay here longer.

The apartment was reasonably clean and conveniently located but is not the 4½ star they claim in their brochure. I stayed here a number of years ago and liked it but it appears that no maintenance has been done since then.

Our apartment was a decent size, though the second bedroom was tiny. The carpet and walls were stained in places, the bath looks like it needs replacing and the curtains in my bedroom didn’t close properly. All that said, we were staying one night after a function so we really only needed a place to sleep. The apartment had a safe, but it was so high in a cupboard that neither my friend or I could reach it. We were on level 5 and there was quite a lot of street noise. It didn’t keep me awake but I could sleep through almost anything.

I won’t be rushing back here.

Not sure why Darling Towers is getting such terrible reviews. My friends and I stayed here mid week in a two bedroom apartment and were stoked with the apartment size and comfort, the value ($140 per night) and the amazing location. Room was huge with two bedrooms that shared the bathroom with intersecting doors. Not overly moderm but not overly old either. Shower was fine - hot water didnt take 5 minutes like a reviewer said though if we are being particular then pressure was a bit soft.
Reception is fine, service pleasant.
Brilliant location...close to everything. Would stay again.

I stayed in this accommodation over 2 nights on the weekend.

The property is poorly maintained. The lifts are dirty, carpets visibly soiled and walls very marked. There is a musty odour throughout.

Reception is uninviting. It is on the 8th floor and the staff member who attended to us may have been trying to be friendly but was also slightly unprofessional, carrying on with flirtatious remarks that got old after awhile.

We were told that our room was one of the nice ones. I am grateful for this because I was uncomfortable with the poor cleanliness, stained sheets and lack of maintenance, and do not wish to imagine the discomfort of staying in a room of any lower a standard.

I was informed by reception that wifi is slow, expensive and not worth getting.

At a rate of $300 a night for a 2 bedroom apartment, this place is very sub-standard. I will definitely not be staying again despite the convenient location and would reccomend against booking here if you are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable.

I will never stay here again and highly recommend that you look elsewhere for the same money if you are considering staying here. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The building and rooms lacked basic maintenance. The walls in my room and bathroom were dirty. I have stayed in better hostels than this establishment. The title "Executive Apartment" is a joke and false advertising at its best. Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!

Room Tip: Don't stay here!!!

We have stayed here before but as we hadn't stayed back there for a few years, we thought we'd give it another go. The last time we had stayed there the place was tired & we decided to give it a miss for a while.

Well, time has lapsed & nothing has been done to it since our last visit. It's in a brilliant location. Reception is in a weird place - catch the lift to a room & there it is, basically. The hotel itself is tired. Could do with a lick of paint & some maintenance, within our unit, at least. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment/room & were told we were upgraded upon arriving. Not sure how it was an upgrade but there you go.

Cleanliness in a hotel is big to me. This place wasn't the cleanest of places at all. Quite dusty in areas. But tidy enough. The hallways smelt quite off. Thankfully our room wasn't that bad. We had to call for more coffee as there was 2 sachets there, from memory. The unit had a couple of cupboard doors hanging loosely but nothing a bit of maintenance couldn't fix.

We only spent one night & as we were flying out at midnight to go overseas we were VERY grateful not just to leave our luggage after check out until in the night but to use the bathroom adjacent to the luggage room, also. It had a shower & after being out all day before heading to the airport, had I realised it was there I would have used it (had a lock on it). But the bathroom was a God-send as it allowed us to freshen up ready for a 10 hour flight.

The staff were friendly & nice enough. Especially on the day of check out.
