Pullman Melbourne Albert Park

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days for a conference.

The hotel is clean and the staff helpful.

The restuarant was great, as was the food and the service of the waitstaff.

The hotel is about 10 minutes in a cab from the city and there isn't too much in walking distance of the hotel.

We have used this venue a number of times and generally things run fairly smoothly. The rooms are generally good - and beds very comfortable. I didn't like the location of my room this time as it was away from the conference room and I got a bit of noise from a night club on the first night. Good room service menu. And pretty good conference food. One thing that is a common fault in many hotels - is that I find breakfast menus are not replenished - but the room service staff were very helpful in bringing another directly up.

Attended a Black-Tie Ball at the hotel with family booking two rooms.

Indebted to past reviews where ‘Executive King Room’ suggested for quietness. Rooms were on 8th & 9th floors. And 9th floor was considerably quieter than floor below. Annoyingly curtains in both rooms have not been maintained with both not able to be completely closed.

Interestingly the Sebel must know that the hotel will book-out due to the ball, and increases room charges the closer it gets to the date. As a result paid some $80 more for each room over and above the normal price by delaying booking some two weeks out.

Room Tip: 9th Floor - Executive King Room

Couldn't get a better location - easy and reasonable on-site parking and simple tram ride down St Kilda Road to get access to the CBD / MCG and all the popular attractions without the hassle of trying to find a park.
I use this hotel for both business and leisure and always find it extremely welcoming, clean and I always get a great night sleep and the breakfast is first class which sets me up for a great day!!!!!

Hotel reasonably well located (10min journey on excellent tramway). One enters the hotel through a stuffy and unaired rear lobby. Check-in courteous. At first glance, the room was fine. But: the bathroom was fairly dirty, with both the sink and the bathtub being fairly grubby and chipped. A new bathroom is urgently needed.
Breakfast okayish, but overpriced for what you get. Service incompetent.
All in all, while the staff were quite friendly, the management of this property needs to train and motivate the staff better and immediately invest into a total refurbishment. This hotel is nowhere near the 4-star standard advertised on its website. I would give it two starts, and this ranking would still be generous.

The room was nice, it two double beds, a couch and normal standard facilities, it was clean, the beds were comfortable but it is very basic, bar down stairs in the lobby is great with very good service. The breakfast is amazing with a lot to choose from, from cereal to fully cooked what ever you wish. Easy enough to walk behind hotel and catch a tram back in Melbourne CBD.

Room Tip: I was on business and had a shared twin room but was comfortable and quiet
