rooms were so small.
extremely costly to get roll away bed - more than I've ever paid before.
beds compfy though.
absolutely no view for us - brick wall. lovely!
Louden for dinner - one waitress made us feel very unwelcome & gave us no detail on meals of the day etc. and I had to ask 3 different waitresses/waiters before I got the understanding re the specials/my accor card and what discount I got. it was very confusing and I was left wnating to get up & leave.
Breaky was great value & lovely.

Couldn't beat the location, right next to David Jones and Myer, heaps of places to eat just minutes walk away, hotel itself a bit tired and worn. Cups not properly washed, burn mark on bed throw, marks on sheets !! Room was right next to lifts so noisy all night. Staff good put us onto a great seafood restaurant at Docklands "Live Bait". Paid extra to get the "superior" upgrade and all they did was put a microwave on the bench, which was too big for the space available so was ill fitting and uneven on the bench surface. Kept the curtains drawn becuase the view was of the airconditioning units.

Location is fantastic, right smack in the middle of everything but that's about it.

Service is terrible. We would asked the staff for stuff and if they don't have it, they don't say no. They just disappeared and leave you waiting!

There's no bedroom slippers. If I don't remember wrongly, no toothbrushes. The bathroom door is a sliding one so you'll end up waking your roommate every time you need to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Tv's in an awkward position for the person sleeping further away.

I can go on and on... There's prob better hotels in the Mercure chain but this particular one just happened to be bad...and not value for money.

Stayed here for one night which ended up being the evening of the 2nd AFL Grand Final. Despite that, it was quiet and a reasonable place to stay in the city. The room was fairly basic and had seen better days, and it could have been cleaner...but for the price we paid, it was good value and centrally located. The bed was clean and comfortable, the internet and TV worked and we were less than 10minutes walk away from Fed Square in the morning.

Location is the only thing in its favour, rooms are too small and can hear other rooms shower and toilet.
