I had 1 room at $240 p/night, and booked 3 other rooms at $160 p/night, same level, all next to each other . All 4 of us had the same comment: noisy, paper thin walls, rattling doors, rooms in desperate need of a makeover, a bath that's good size for a baby, and hard beds. Having said that, the breakfast was good, location is great, and staff service was ok, and friendly.

Stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on business. Good short term hotel for visits to Melbourne. Better still if you don't have a car as car parking is expensive and street parking nearly non-existent. Easy to walk straight out onto Swanston St and use trams and the nearby Flinders St railway Station. Smallish room but spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice is fairly limited and could certainly use improvement but was OK and a few more staff on the floor would be helpful. There a lots of other nearby little cafes where you can get good meals at reasonable prices and the hotel is very close to China Town so a quick walk puts you among a multitude of great, economical Asian dining options. There is currently building going on next to the hotel in Little Bourke St but there was no appreciable noise. Traffic flow was effected though. Would certainly consider this hotel again if I did not have a car to park.
