Clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Very good service. Great location right in the centre of the city. It was a bit hard to find at first because of works in Little Bourke St. Good facilities but getting a bit tired. Delicious buffet breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

From the moment my Friends & I walked into this hotel,we were given first class service, the rooms are small, but clean, and we only slept in our room as we were out & about.
The bar area was a lovely place to sit & share a glass of wine & lovely bar snacks after a hard days shopping.Very central for everything, shopping, china town, bars, coffee shops! The breakfast offered something for everyone! We got the weekend special & found it superb value for money,we loved it,nothing was too much trouble for the staff,I would not stay anywhere else,Location,Location,Location!!!!!!

Stayed there for 3 nights. Great service and room was good.
Hotel is in the heart of the city so its easy to walk to most of the inner city sights.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful
Would stay there again.

Room Tip: I would think that rooms by the lift would be noisy

The first was so small I had to put the case on the bed to unpack. The room was very noisey. Next to building site. One lift not working due to upgrading.

The second room was better but still of a poor standard compared with other Mercure Hotels.

On the Saturday I had to wait 20 minutes for the lift.

Drilling in the lift shaft commenced just after 7.00am during week days.

One evening I went the bar for night cap the bar was shut at 9.45pm.

We found the reception staff friendly and helpful. The room though small was comfortable and clean. The Cocktail lounge was pleasant and provided a variety of light snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast in the restraurant was very good and again reasonably priced. Location was fine for access to Theatres and central shopping area.

The Hotel is in a wonderful central site with access to all major shops and transport. The rooms are sparse, with no art on the walls and the dust and rubbish behind the TV was not so great. The bed was very soft, warm and had great pillows. All i all good value for money in the central city

Room is too small for two people. Bathroom kits are less than other Mercure (I stayed in Mercue Potts Point in Sydney before heading to Melbourne). These weaknesses are outweighed by its superb location as it is adjacent to Chinatown, shopping center, and city circle tram.
