Service was great from the time we checked in until we eventually picked up our luggage from the storage at the end of our time in Melbourne. The rooms were clean and tidy and promptly serviced.

Great location in the city. The staff were very friendly and professional. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and the food, wine and service was excellent. Parking is available but ring beforehand to find out the exact location to access the car park. We just went into town for the night and had a wonderful experience.

This is a busy hotel in a busy street in a busy City. When we were there it was NFL cup weekend & the place was crazy. The hotel was full to the brim with visitors to Melbourne like us & of course the fans. The atmosphere was fantastic out on the streets but within the hotel a calm seemed to prevail. The hotel is well placed for the main shopping streets & sights of Melbourne, most of which are in walking distance. I have no idea what the hotel restaurant is like because "Chinatown" is just accross the road so we ate there instead. Despite the day being probably one of their busiest the staff were friendly, efficient & helpful giving you as much of their time as you needed. The room had all the amenities you expect in a good hotel & it was plenty big enough, clean & the bed extremely comfortable & surprisingly quiet. conidering how busy they were.

If arriving by car it is a nightmare firstly to get to the Hotel and unless you area local you would have great difficulty finding it because the main street outside the hotel does not allow cars. To get to the Hotel you have to know about a lane way that comes down from Russel st so you can access the rear of the hotel
The noise from the trams is unbearable at times and the beds and pillows were far to hard The only saving grace comes from my wife who loves this hotel and she is the only reason I stay here is the location which connects directly to the main department stores in Melbourne
My wife could live in this hotel but I am sorry not me
