“A good night's stay.”

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of the city and has very good security. The staff at the desk were helpful and pleasant, and our room, which had two double beds, was spacious and quiet.

Location & amenities good.
Booked a wheelchair accessible room and it was anything but! The bathroom was accessible so no complaints about that but the actual bedroom was a disaster. My wheelchair is 63cm wide and I couldn't access the room because I couldn't get between the end of the bed and the desk opposite. Even if I could have, there's no way I could get to the desk as no turning space. There was only one chair in the room so I didn't have a chair to sit on if I wanted to get out of my wheelchair. I also couldn't access the wardrobe as not enough space between it and the bed. There were also no shelves to put clothes on so my partner and I lived out of the suitcase which was awful. The only redeeming factors are Nick (male receptionist) who was brilliant and helped rearranged the room so I could access the important things, and the bathroom that was fully accessible! The hotel was full so I couldn't move to a better room. When I said I could tell that the room had not been designed by a wheelchair user, I was told I was probably right!
My other complaint is that Reception were very slack with communication and passing on messages/acting upon requests from third parties. This caused us and others great distress and the staff seemed totally disinterested. We wouldn't stay here again or recommend the hotel to anyone!

Excellent location, walking distance to all major sporting venues and right on top of public transport and fantastic shopping. Rooms are well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect was a very disappointing breakfast buffet and fairly average tasting food.

Stayed here with family for a trip to Melbourne as part of a bigger holiday... This hotel has a fantastic central location... Well equipped rooms... Comfy beds.. All in all a great find with a fab chocolate shop in the foyer to make it even more perfect!!!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. I read some previous reviews, and yes the hotel is a bit dated, and yes the carpet is stained, but seriously does that take away any value from the great facilities and location? What I expected, I got and I would definately stay here again. The staff were friendly and ever so helpful.
Thanks again we had a great time!

Ideally located hotel, with good rooms, sumptuous breakfast & friendly staff.
The famous Myer & David Jhonson stores are right next door.
Tram stops at the door step & places like Foundation Square are a walking distance.
For oriental cuisine lovers, China Town is a stones throw away.
A very lively neighborhood.
