“Swanton Street The Saviour”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

Can't really say anything bad about this hotel, neither there is anything good about this hotel too.

Being in the center of the Melbourne CBD, particularly on Swanton Street is the only strength that this hotel has.

The room was quite shabby and the food was nothing to shout about.

My second encounter in Australia for a hotel that only cover it's shower partition partially.
Just couldn't understand why.
Why can't it cover fully as to keep the water in where it is suppose to be instead of "spreading" it around the bathroom?

If location is what is needed, then here is the right place.
Else, there are other hotels in the vicinity that can be considered.

The location is fantastic, but the comfort of the bed and pillows especially is very poor quality and ruined the trip, also the receptionist are not very helpful and take complaints personally rather than constructive criticism , the price reflects the quality of the room. Would be happy to pay more for the position of the hotel if the quality of the room was more comfortable.

The hotel is very clean, located in an excellent area in the city. However, the hotel itself isn't very modernly stylised. This could be the only flaw. We weren't sure if we were allowed to drink the instant coffee or other extras... so left them untouched. I think there needs to be a sign to let guests know.
Great stay! :)

We highly recommend this Hotel, always stay here when visiting Melbourne. Location is excellent, really central to the CBD and the service and rooms are excellent as well. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant and cocoon bar are also highly recommended!!! :-)
