On a Wednesday evenings (5.30? on) for the summer the Victoria market opens as a giant collection of food stalls: if you are looking for interesting, unpretentious food then this place is great. The evening I went the on-the-whole-appetising food covered: Italian, Greek, Polish, Korean, Argentinean, Crepes, Juices, beer, Mongolian, Japanese, Nepalese, Indian, Chinese, Burgers, vegetarian, exotic meats and the list just keeps on going. If you can't find something you want to eat there, then there may be no hope for you. Only reservation is that the demand is so great that the queues can get pretty long - my guess is that there were several thousand people there by 7pm and it was hot and crowded - so maybe really early is a good idea That said, the servers don't muck around and service is fast even at peak times.
