A really interesting cultural attraction that is really worth seeing. The Australian history is fascinating and the tourguides were really informative!

The original jail building which housed Ned Kelly has had little or no changes to it's structure since his days. Very intersting displays in the original cells. Allow youselves at least 2 hours to visit.

It was just ok, not a lot going on and I think they could do a lot more with it. It lacked the kind of displays and information we've come to expect from attractions of this type.

Really interesting place, we did the tour next door where you are treated like a "crim" and experience being "booked" at the police station to being locked up in a holding cell, in the dark with the beautiful steel toilet. Then in the main area of the old Gaol, seeing all the death masks and reading about all the prisoners and also the death place of the famous Ned Kelly. I was disappointed that I was too early in the year to do the night "Ghost Walk" which would have been really good. I recommend for anyone visiting Melbourne to visit.

Got problem kids? Take 'em here for a visit and they'll straighten right out! Nothing like a cold damp spiritless cell to set people straight. A great piece of Melbourne history!
