The gaol is a great visit simply for the history in particular the whole Ned Kelly aspect. We were there in school holidays and there were activities running. A re-enactment of the Ned Kelly trial whereby you can volunteer to play a role & a mock Lock-up at the watch house where you are arrested and processed as though you would have been 'in the day'. All was fantastic, very interesting, informative and entertaining, probably more than I ad expected.
