The staff are very pleasant at this hotel and are helpful. From check-in to check-out everybody was friendly.

The location of the hotel is convenient and an easy walk to most attractions in the city.

The room was of a good size. Beds were comfortable and had soft pillows which allowed for a good sleep. The bathroom is a good size with a shower only which I don't mind as prefer it over having a shower over bath. If you are a Marriott Rewards member you get free wifi in the room but didn't try it as didn't have the need for it.

Still as good as my previous stays so would recommend this hotel.

Not at all flashy, nothing over the top; but very good in all aspects. Staff are efficient, friendly, and very helpful; we found that nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we had was called a Premier Guest Room on the 6th floor. Our window looked out on the tree tops from the pool floor, and onto Lonsdale Street. Beautifully furnished with quality fittings, wonderfully comfortable bed.

The hotel was average and the staff was pretty much incompetent. Any time we called down the concierge for help whether it be for restaurant recommendations or a query about laundry they said they would call us back and then never did. It actually became a joke. The pool was also run down and flooded with kids. We did eat dinner there one night and the food at the restaurant was actually pretty good.

Melbourne Marriott is what you expect from the rest of the Marriott hotels - Good service, good rooms, good location.
From check-in to check-out, there were no problems. Wifi is complimentary in the guest room...although you have to check the basic ($9.95/24hour) service, the hotel takes it out when you check out. Reception staff is very friendly and efficient. The porter was very courteous and showed where everything is.
Room is clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, lots of pillows, a small sofa, coffee maker and a bread toaster (what a surprise item), an in room safe, and large bathroom and toilet.
Location is great. A couple of blocks up to take the complimentary Circle City Tram (Streetcar # 35) that goes around the city. Takes about 90 minutes to take the whole route.
A couple of blocks down are numerous restaurants. Walking distance to Chinatown and Greek Town.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just checked out of a very well planned hotel. Everything worked from check in to check out. Room was very spacious with small couch and separate work desk. Huge window let in lots of light. Bedside control's for room lights, bedside table light, overhead reading lights (a big plus) and night light. Very large flat screen TV with easy to use remote. Extra large bathroom. Doubledoor closet with safe, iron etc. You can tell that whoever designed the room spent a lot of time in hotel rooms and used the best ideas.

Location was good. Walking distance to Chinatown, Greektown, and lots of places to eat and shop.
