We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment. This was a large space cleverly divided by fold away doors. The appartment was decorated and equipped to a very high standard. The laundry room was also just across the hall. The location was great for the trams, the shops and restaurants. The only down side was no great view, but this was made up for by the amount of space we had.

We took our Mother for her birthday to the theatre and stayed overnight at the Quality Batmans Hill Hotel in a two bedroom apartment. We requested 4 single beds which was no problem at all. The apartment had two bedrooms, lounge area, a small kitchette and a bathroom. We were quite comfortable. The staff made our stay enjoyable as they were very friendly and helpful. The day of departure we wanted to do some shopping and see the galleries. As we had travelled by train to Melbourne, it was no problem for the Hotel to keep our luggage for the day free of charge. We collected our luggage in time to walk across to Spencer Street Station to catch our train. Breakfast is very expensive and I would advise to eat out as it was not enjoyable at all. Apart from that I would definitely stay at this Hotel again.

Really noisy lift which soundslike a pneumatic drill is located in the middle of the standard rooms. It's shut off from 10pm - 6am but that's little comfort when you either want a lie-in or an early night to get up in time for a flight!

Getting to said lift is a trial as it involved going up and down flights of 10 stpes each, not easy when you have all your bags. No offer of help to negotiate the stairs or get the cases to the room was given by the staff on checking in.

Location is great for catching the sky bus to the airport (from Spencer Street Station) and for getting trams into the centre of the city. The two tours I did with APT picked up from the Holiday Inn which was a stones throw away.

The aircon unit only had an on/off setting for guests to operate - if you wanted to change temperature you had to ring reception to send someone up to do that for you which was a pain.

They only have the basic 3-4 TV channels available unless you pay to view on their hotel system.

The room was so small we could barely walk around the bed. Rooms hadn't been updated in years. Staff was unable to quiet an all night party that kept us up until 6am. Couldn't wait to get out of the place. Nice location, but worst accomodations of our entire trip.

The hotel is nice and clean, we had one of the club rooms, both the bedroom and the bathroom were of a good size. Room contains desk, additional table, and chairs, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Be warned it is very noisy, there is double glazing on the windows but with trams, cars, people and police cars going past it is very difficult to have a quiet nights sleep.

The hotel is in a great location, trams are outside and is 5 mins walk to the Crown Complex or 10 min walk to Flinders Station. The City Circle line also stops nearby. The Skybus service stop to/from the airport is only 5-10 mins walk.

The only other disappointing aspect was the breakfast, it was very poor, with often lack of food, and not cooked correctly, e.g. croissants were still doughy inside and Pancakes sitting there for ages. They could do with some more staff at peak times, they didn't seem prepared for it. Better off heading across the road to the coffee shop.

When you walk in this hotels looks and has plenty of potential, but the rooms are disappointing(standard rooms), small. The shower only had one direction and the rail was broken.
One plus the staff are very helpful. And you do have the chance to change rooms but every room should be of high standard.
This hotel has plenty of potential with a little bit tlc given to some rooms.

We (mum and dad, children aged 11 and 14 yrs) stayed here last weekend when we went to Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final. Was a little worried as EVERYWHERE else was booked out so I wondered why this place still had a spot - and there was only one review on this website! We were very pleasantly surprised to find a recently refurbished, contemporary, clean hotel with good beds, bathroom and kitchenette in our 2 bedroom apartment. Quite smart, in fact. Only downside was the "industrial chic" view from the window i.e. of neighbouring walls and air shafts! Breakfast was good and reception staff were efficient.
