I accidentally found this place while in Melbourne and loved it. I was there when it was winter in Australia, thus we had some glasses of hot wine which was very good. Basically, it is an outdoor bar, yet well covered and warmed up. When I passed by it was raining and I didn't even notice it! The location is perfect, the view is great, especially at sunset, thank to all the nice colours on the water. To sum up, perfectly aligned with the amazing Melbourne vibe! We felt very lucky to have spotted it!

Found this place by accident while in Melbourne last month and had a lovely couple of drinks. The views are great, music sound and the atmosphere was very good. Cannot comment on the food there but the price of the drinks were about right given the location and the fact that drinks in Melbourne are not cheap. Would highly recommend as somewhere with a difference to go for a drink.

Great little bar in an amazing location, can't really find a better spot to have a beer. Best thing about this pub is they serve beer in long neck bottles, being a kiwi, I love this!! The view is incredible and the atmosphere is great with some funky background tunes!!

We have walked over this spot many times crossing the bridge- it is obviously popular as we haven't stopped on a number of occasions as it was packed. This time it was crowded but we found a lovely spot in the sun. Good wine and beer- and a great antipasto platter to share for lunch. Really good.

It's not often you get to spend time in a bar built into the pylon of a bridge in the middle of a river, but that's what you get when crossing the footbridge over Melbourne's beautifully murky Yarra River towards the Southgate Shopping Centre complex - a little staircase appears and before you know it you're transported to a bar that's almost below water-level, right underneath the south pylon of the bridge. It's hipster-central down there - stools perched around old barrels, staff who look like full-time roadies for some of Australia’s most underpaid bands and patrons who mostly look like some weird hybrid of Melbourne's hippest students and the corporate brigade. Awesome atmosphere. Friendly (‘cool’, ‘chillaxed’) punters and staff. Great location. Drinks reasonably cheap.
