Description: Ciao Cielo - literally translated from Italian as Hello Sky - is a sparkling addition to the Melbourne restaurant landscape. Situated on lively Bay Street, in Port Melbourne, Inspired by Art Deco elements, Milano sophistication and the glamour of the 40's. Original floor to ceiling boards, beautiful lead light windows dating back to the old shop row days when hardware was the trade. A look at the portraits on the walls show a tribute to the very much loved and missed Lloyd and Mary Grand parents whom past in the Black Saturday fires Bryan's food is about strong italian flavours reflected in the abundance of amazing produce availiable locally in Victoria. Bryan is by no means a traditionalist, he believes in the right to be as creative as one desires with what you are inspired with.

Brilliant Restaurant, just like coming home to family for a great meal. The young owners go out of their way to ensure your experience is second to none.

They also do fixed price lunch (around $35) during the weekdays and I think are now open for lunch on Saturday.

First time here and will definitely be back. Everything we tried off the menu was sensational. My wife had the lamb and I had the fish of the day and both were great. Had a young guy doing the service and he was great. Prices are reasonable and commensurate with the overall quality of the restaurant.

A very good but small menu in a pretty hip part of Port Melbourne which stands out from the rest.

The service is good and the presentation of the meals was excellent.

We had chicken liver parfait to start with which was quite special which beautiful texture and flavour. Pork belly (served with garden cumquats, apple summer herb salad, citrus fregola, pork liquor) and quail (Barbequed with pistachio currant crumbs, white eggplant, spiced tomato, semolina gnocchi galetteas) the mains. These were both well thought out dishes and the meats were perfectly cooked. It was disappointing that the plated that served the quail was cold along with the pureed eggplant - a bad oversight on a winter's night.

Prices are very reasonable.

The wine menu is small and somewhat disappointing with a lack of Australian wines outside of Victoria on the list. Still it is a small establishment and we can forgive them for this. One does wonder how they can survive given the small number of patrons the table set-out holds.

Definitely worthy of a return visit.

Had Goat for the first time in my life here. I have decided that goat and lam has the same sort of feel to it.
I would go here again.
