“So this is what heaven looks and smells like!?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

If you really enjoy food, if you love to shop for it, smell it, taste it, cook it, then you must visit this place. I'm jealous of you Melburnians and I want a Queen Victoria Market in my city. This place has it all. The quality is outstanding with every choice of meat, cheese, produce, olives, breads, dairy products, beautiful seafood, pastry, pies, and....sorry, my mouth is watering. Just go there. And plan to relish in the delights!!

“Great”

Always a changing place. Great spot to get fresh food, and have a look around. Cheap spot to pick up some seafood that is in season. There is a big selection.

“We loved it...”

Busy, quality produce at competitive prices, olives, small goods, bread, deli goods galore and the produce... Just gorgeous. And the seafood! The best market I've been to in Australia.
If you like good food then it's worth a visit

“More than just a market - an experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market is almost as old as the city itself. Once the site of the settlement's first cemetery - the bodies are still down there, we believe - it is the oldest market in Melbourne, located on the northern boundary of the CBD. If it can be eaten, you'll find it here. Seafood to die for, the freshest meat, delicacies, fruit and vegetables.

Clothing, furniture, bric a brac, it's all here. Great experience for kids, too. If you're lucky, you might even find a parking spot!

“Atmosphere, food and experience”

Love the Vic Markets - the deli hall, open fresh produce, and Wed nights Suzuki Market night through summer is a fun, very Melbourne experience.
