We went to Dock 31 on a Sunday lunch. It took 5 mins for someone to seat us, sparkling water never arrived, coffee was one of the worst we've ever had... it was burnt and bitter. The food took too long to arrive and when it finally came (after a reminder) it was luke warm at best. The kids nacho's did not have the guacamole and sour cream on the side, as requested. Don't waste your money on this place...

One of the better, healthier, value-for-money places in the Docklands - but that's not saying much. Seems like it's been going downhill over the past few months though. I expect it will be the next restaurant in the area to close.

We had an early dinner at Docklands before seeing Rockwiz in the Festival Hall and were pleased that Dock 31 was open and serving before 6pm. The menu was excellent and I could easily have chosen at least four of the options for both entree and main. I selected whitebait followed by a lamb rack and both courses were excellent. Service was faultless throughout our meal and the waitress recommended a glass of house red for the cold, damp evening, which was not disappointing. My wife had calamari followed by a huge salmon steak and she was equally pleased with both presentation and taste. We strongly recommend Dock 31 and we will return to sit outside and enjoy the view in warmer weather.

We were hungry after a lot of shopping and with two young kids the options aren't that great. We stumbled upon Dock 31. Thank god! We had a beautiful lunch and for once there was a decent kids menu. The food was excellent and the service sensational. Even though this is a fine dining restaurant we were made to feel very welcome even with our children and that is something we don't experience much.
We had beautiful fish and chips for lunch, the kids were well taken care of with the same and milkshakes and ice cream. Just as we were leaving the kids were given a small gift for being such well behaved children, nice touch.
We would definately go back because for once the kids had nice food and we the parents were not frowned upon for thinking we could eat in a restaurant with kids.

The service was a bit slow to start, whereas the first server (female) gave drinks menu but didn't return to take our order. Another server (male) asked if we were being attended to and when we said no quickly took our order. The entree arrived promptly and delighted by dining partner. Then took awhile for mains to arrive as the chef thought we had departed already. We both ordered fish dishes and the fish was so fresh it melted in our mouths. We were then being looked after by our third server who turned out to be the best, definitely the most friendliest and we chatted for quite a while. You couldn't beat the setting of the restaurant on a hot summers night but the service of some needs to be worked on. Price wise we thought it was reasonable.
