rod Laver Arena is a good venue for watching either tennis or a good show. the only thing I don't like is how hard the seating is.

I had some extra time in Melbourne during my last trip so I figured why not swing by Rod Laver and get a tour. The whole area is currently under construction and won't be completely finished for 10 years but it didn't seem to affect the tour. I've also toured Wimbledon which was much more impressive, but also more expensive. Our guide was great and very informative. The tour lasted about an hour. We got to see the press room, main arena, walk of champions, and one of the suites. The courts are open to the public if you want to play, but it's only included in the $15 tour price. Overall, I'd say it was a great tour... especially if you're a tennis fan.
