Plain but effective stay and a wannabe funky Melbourne apartment / hotel. The apartments are simple, plain, functional , effective, adequate. It seems to be a converted ex office building. The apartments re a bit plain. Adequate but plain. They charge $6 for a bottle of water. petrol is only a third of that! If you order a cab through reception - they suggest you wait out front - not good when raining. [The (two!!) fire alarms were a bit unnecessary - 4am and 6am] - in fact they were extremely unwelcome. The service was great - the front desk is great. It is located very conveniently with a tram stop right out front.

I have had many work trips to Melbourne and have stayed at the Mint Melbourne on St Kilda road on many occasions. The service has always been exceptional with friendly staff always willing to assist. The rooms are always clean and presented with a modern twist. Will definately be back!

The fridge makes a terrible racket so make sure you turn it off before trying to sleep. I then had a terrible not from then. The room was vibrating, as if there was construction work going on around or a large generator was below the room. The vibration was strong enough for the pillows to rub against each other and make a noise just loud enough to keep me awake. The vibration sometimes stopped and then restarted just enough to ruin my night's sleep. I had no answer from the hotel.

The Mint Rhapsody is my hotel of choice whilst traveling for business. Its location is convenient and there is public transport right at the door. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the rooms well presented and clean. The adjoining restaurant, Bakini has great food and service

Am a regular at Mint -short and long stays - and have always found the staff to be friendly and courteous. Great location for business travel with plenty of public transport close by and ample options for dining out (onsite or along St Kilda Road) Always a pleasure to stay here.

Lovely place to stay, very comfy bed and the staff are great. A little mistake was made, I was charged extra because it didn't go through the system as booking.com discount. They refunded me with no problems but many people wouldn't notice.

Promised early check in - then assigned to a room not clean (and given a later than 2pm check in which is there standard check in time). Fire alarms went off twice through the night. + the umbrella they gave me was broken. All a little frustrating
