I was in town for business from the US and never watched a live Rugby game. As a game was on that fit in my schedule, I decided to give it a try. Even though I didn't fully understand what was going on, the views were terrific (as it was a nice night - it has an open roof and probably the front 10-15 rows wouldn't be covered in the event of rain). The beer was a bit expensive but made for a great evening.

we have been storm members for the last 5 years & it doesn't matter where you sit at this stadium you have a perfect view of the game

It's hard to think that any stadium in the world would allow you to get closer to the game than this one. This is a fantastic addition to Australia's sporting capital. The atmosphere when near capacity is electric and I imagine every sports fan would enjoy watching their favourite team playing here.

A word of caution, the food served here is appalling and over priced, but you came here for the game, eat somewhere else before or after the game. Swan Street is a short walk away and has a huge choice, so avoid the food stalls at the park and grab a real meal nearby!

I went to this stadium for the first time to watch Storm v Manly in the semi finals and thank goodness it was a good win by the Storm.

East to get to by train. Get off at Richmond Station and a short walk to the stadium. Most of the stadium is under cover as the weather in Melbourne can be very unpredictable. The outside achitecture is interesting. Many food options although a little expensive and plenty of toilets.

The seating is close to the actual sporting ground allowing fans, especially on the ground level (Level 1), which is very close to the action. Only down-fall is the roof doesn't cover the first 15 rows on the ground level. Officially all rows, except the first 4 are classified as under-cover - this is not the case, as the rain never comes down directly. The small capacity of 35,000 makes the atmosphere electric with crowds over 15,000. My wife and I are Melbourne Storm fans and we have seats on Level 1 row O on the Eastern side and get soaked when raining, but being so close to the action counteracts getting wet. Highly recommend seeing a Melbourne Storm game - great entertainment - does help to know a few of the rules (but usually someone is nearby willing to explain them to you).
