Friends and I have been on the overnight tour to Philip Island - and I could have not chosen a better tour. Kyle was a great tour guide - he knew all about the Wildlife and random things you wanted to know. We were dropped off and picked up from our accommodation and had dinner and afternoon tea included. Kyle showed us through the Koala park, Churchill Island and the Penguin Parade. Can Highly recommend to any traveler. As a Tip: rather do the overnight tour - that gives you plenty of time to discover Philip Island on your own!

My wife & I joined a 3-day Bunyip Great Ocean Road & Grampians tour this past July. This tour was the last "event" of a month-long trip to Australia & New Zealand. After spending the night at the Best Western Riverside Apartments just a couple blocks away, we met our wonderful tour guide, Steve, and our equally wonderful fellow travelers early in the morning at tour headquarters. We were shortly off to the Great Ocean Road. While the weather wasn't perfect, the views & companionship were more than adequate, as was the small van (hauling a small trailer with our packs & food) that offered the 8 of us ample room, but cozy enough we could all converse and listen to the font of knowledge & humor that was our guide, Steve. Our first night was spent at a very clean & adequate hostel near the famous & spectacular 12 Apostles. The next day took us north to the Grampian Mountains, where we enjoyed some great trekking in both rain forest & mountain settings. We also saw a great variety of flora & fauna, including kangaroos, emus, koala, and a charming echidna. Our last night was spent at a great hostel where we prepared a great meal together, then ate it in a charming lodge with bar & TV. I would highly recommend this tour!!!

We took the Bunyip day tour from Melbourne to Philips island. The tour picked us up on time and our driver/guide, Peter, was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed all of the stops, especially the nature park (pay the extra to pet the Koala) and the penguins at Philips Island (make sure you think about which "level" of penguin viewing you want, they are not all equal). The only thing we would have liked was more time. We would have liked to have left an hour earlier so that we could have had more time at each stop.

We did a daylong wildlife tour with Bunyip Tours at the beginning of August and it was really, really good. I was sceptical because I tend to hate being packaged off in a bus, but our driver/guide Kyle was super knowledgeable and friendly and it was a ton of fun and very interesting. It was run at quite a good pace so we never got bored. We paid extra to be on the Skybox tour for the Philip Island penguin adventure where we had a private tour with our own ranger, fruit and cheese platter, and a warm sheltered place to watch the penguins come in and then an escort down to the beach once the people had dissipated and the penguins were still marching in. Definitely a highlight of the trip, I sighed at the idea of a full day on a bus but they did a stellar job of it.
