Searched hight and low and finally found this place hidden in a small alley way. Lovely breakfast. Find it and try it out for yourself

“Great food!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014

On our 5 days in Melbourne, this is definitely the best brunch in this trip.

My partner and I have waited for 30 mins, but it is worth the wait!! I'll say it a bit crowed and cosy, but i love it. My scrambled eggs with salmon was good, the hot chocolate was yum, staff were amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are willing to wait.

“One of the best breakfasts ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014

I am amazed that I didn't have to queue up to get in but we were early on a weekday. I had the eggs and pork belly on polenta cakes which was amazing. The portion was enormous and could have been a lunch more than breakfast item. Everything coining out of the kitchen looked great and lots of nice touches like the little pots for the baked eggs and the mini-doughnut with your coffee.

“Well Worth the Long Queue !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

I went to Hardware Société on a Sunday morning. There was a long queue and I had to wait for ~45min before getting a seat. However the savoury special I ordered was well worth the wait. The sauce was uniquely tasty and the poached eggs were cooked just right. Highly recommended if are willing to wait.

“Loved the fancy unpronounceable menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

Loved the experience of a funky popular cafe with amazing creations on the menu.

Our hot chocolates were what I would call fancy, thick ganache in a cup, with hot milk in a tiny jug to pour into the cup.

Loved the French Toast Brioche with rhubarb, topped with meringue pieces. The taste was incredible.

The experience was great; the food amazing, however we would probably not go back straight away. The menu was a little out of our league and most sundays we prefer a big cookup of easy to understand and simple to eat foods. The hot chocolate was cute and interesting but not very practical as the hot milk created mess on the table.

The staff were amazing; cleaning the hot milk on the table and noticing the little things.

We did have a friend in line for 10 mins, and we waited another 5 to get a table for 5 on a sunday morning about 10am.

There was quite a few people in the alleyway waiting for tables after we had finished our meals, and despite not feeling rushed or pushed out by staff, we moved on for a second coffee/tea/HC.
