“Exceptional Day Out”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

We visited the Mornington Peninsula in March, the day after our arrival from the UK. Stephen was our driver and guide, and really helped us get our bearings in Melbourne and the surrounding area.
Thoroughly enjoyed all of the wineries, especially the small Tanglewood Estate where we walked through the vines, and had a full tour with the owner. Lunch was at Salix Restaurant at Willow Creek winery - exceptional. Loved the banter with Ed at Merrick's General Store. This was a resheduled stop, as Balnarring vineyard had just experienced power failure - so was able to try their wines and more at the store. Mornington Peninsula Chocolates were great - probably the best chocolates I've ever tasted.
No pressure to buy any wines anywhere. Our only regret was that we could only buy these in small quantities, due to onward travel arrangements. We really enjoyed the pace of this tour. No rush to get on and off the minibus to get to the next destination, like you would have with coach tours. If / when in Melbourne again in the future, Vinetrekker will be top of my list for another exceptional day out. Thank you for the day that we had.

Thanks Alison, Stephen & John for taking the time to review your tour to the Mornington Peninsula. I'm thrilled to see it measured up to and exceeded your expectations. It's a terrific region and one that often surprises visitors with its quality and diversity. Even though it doesn't enjoy a high profile like the Yarra Valley, the producers are no less committed. We're lucky to have wonderful relationships with the properties we visit and the warmth of their hospitality isn't lost on our guests. And having someone as considerate and professional as Stephen to look after you can only enhance the day. Thanks again for the business, it was greatly appreciated.

“Great Day”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

We have done the Mornington Peninsula Day trip and the Yarra Valley Day trip.
Both were fabulous. Both were great in that we visited smaller privately owned wineries as well as larger commercial style wineries. It was a really nice touch to have a more personal experience at the smaller wineries. The lunches on both trips were outstanding. We had Paul take us on the Mornington Peninsular trip and Stephen took us to the Yarra Valley. Both were fountains of knowledge and very friendly/approachable. We did our research and Vinetrekker came up as the most popular and I'm so glad we went with them. Do it, you won't regret it.

Thanks Gem for reviewing both your Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula tours. I'm delighted you enjoyed the personal nature of them as well as the contrast. It's always tremendously gratifying when someone returns to take another tour and ever so pleasing when you hear they've enjoyed the second tour as much as the first. Thanks again for your bookings, they were greatly appreciated. And if you're looking for another lovely region to visit, we look forward to showing off the Macedon Ranges.

“Yarra Valley Tour May 2013 with Vinetrekker”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Stephen, our driver and guide was on time, professional and friendly. He had a incredible
in-depth knowledge of not only the wine industry, processes but also the
history and strengths of each vineyard we visited. Stephen was also
skilfully "amongst" us, and yet knew when it was better to be on the
periphery of the tastings and so on. We visited Warramatte, where we learned of its rare non-irrigated vines and style of wine making, the Yering estate, Chandon for the great bubblie and then De Bortoli with some excellent cheese and wine pairings. Timing was perfect and allowed me to
get back to my hotel in time for my corporate dinner that evening. Two
thumbs up! Thanks - David and Maureen

Thanks David and Maureen for your review and I'm delighted the day to the Yarra Valley was a great success. We're very happy with the itinerary and love the contrast between the different producers, as they all offer something different. Stephen is a wonderful asset and he brings a lot of passion and professionalism to the day, skills that have been commented on many times previously. And the icing on the cake for you was to arrive home in enough time for your dinner engagement. Am pleased we were able to facilitate that for you too ! Thanks again and trust that your travels have you returning to Melbourne before too long.

“A great doy out”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We did the Mornington Peninsula food & wine daytour and had a great time. The pickup in Melbourne was easy, there were lots of tours leaving from the same location but our name was called and we were shown to the bus. Steve our bus driver and tour director was fantastic, we received a commentary as we left Melbourne and all throughout the tour he was always ready with all the info we needed.
It was great to visit some of the smaller wineries and we got to tase and chat with the owners. Lunch, at Salix at the Willow Creek winery was great with a fantastic view of the vines from our table.
The chocolates from Mornington Peninsula Chocolates were beautiful and we bought some sheeps milk cheese, never tasted it before and it was great, from Red Hill Cheese,
Thougherly recommend Vinetrecker and look forward to one day doing the Yarra valley tour.

Thanks for taking the time to review your recent tour to the Mornington Peninsula and delighted it was such a success. It's a wonderful region and provides a terrific alternative to the more popular Yarra Valley. Being a little less commercialised ensures a relaxed pace. We're very lucky to have Stephen on board and he brings a high degree of passion and professionalism to the day. Will look forward to having you travel with us again when you're next in Melbourne. Thanks for the business and all the best.

“Great day out in the Yarra Valley”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

This tour was recommended by the guide from 'Melbourne by Foot', Dave.
I booked the tour last minute. We were only three people on the tour, so plenty of time and space for everybody. It was a full day out, pick up at 9.30 at the hotel, and return by about 6pm. We went to five wineries; Coldstream Hills, Warramate, Chandon, Yering Station (where we also had lunch) and finally De Bortoli before heading home. Our guide, Paul, was very knowledgeable and could tell us a lot about the wineries, wines and grapes. On the way back, he also managed to spot some kangaroos so we could make some photos. This is an intense day, but having only a single day for wine tasting during my stay in Melbourne, it was a really good choice which I can recommend.

Your review of the recent Yarra Valley tour you took with us is greatly appreciated and I'm very happy the day was a success. Am always pleased to be able share my knowledge and if it helps with your understanding and appreciation of Australian wines, then I'm happy. I hope you have some luck in finding some Yarra Valley wines. Thanks for the business and all the best.
