I was actually surprised at how nice the hotel was, I thought it was going to look like a budget hotel, but for me it looked posh. Considering its upmarket location, the room rates were very reasonable. I booked a room with two double beds for 4 adults, we were given a room on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. Room was cleaned and supplied with fresh towels and toiletries every morning. Shower was not enclosed though, so water tended to reached the toilet area. Kitchenette helped us fix breakfast and heat food whenever. Short walk to Yarra River and Flinders Station, Elizabeth and Degraves Street for dining, the free city circle tram to experience the CBD, and other public transport access points to nearby tour spots like Docklands. Nearby DFOs provided easy shopping access. Around 20 mins by cab from the airport via the Westgate freeway, Skybus shuttle also services straight to the hotel. Staff accomodating, no fuss service. Very nice stay at the right price, would stay here again to have easy access to all Melbourne has to offer. :)

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with a friend.

We had a room with 2 single beds, but the beds were very close together, we had to do a bit of furniture rearranging to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable enough, but not great. The hotel also does not have doonas, rather it has sheets and light blankets, which is always a downer for me.

Very close to Etihad Stadium so this would be a great budget-concious hotel if you were going there for a sports match or a concert. 10 minute walk to Spencer St Station/Skybus etc.

Very limited food around when it is not business hours. Closest 7/11 is a 10 minute walk at the train station.

Not sure if I'd stay here again - we stayed here over the Atlantis on Spencer St because their rate for a room with 2 singles was a lot lower, but if the prices were the same I'd definitely choose the Atlantis over this every time.

One sore point is that we asked the reception if they could print out tickets to a sporting match for us, and also boarding passes. They told us that we had to use the self-serve computers, which we had to pay for, and then when we got on it we found out that we had to pay to print as well. After I talked to another staff member (when the computer froze and took our money) they informed us that we should have asked and that they would have happily printed the football tickets and boarding passes for us - ahhhhh!

I have shared your feedback with reception and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back.

Booked the hotel for 5 days while in Melbourne to attend a conference. For a hotel within 15 mins walking distance to the Melbourne Convention centre, it is very good value. Paid an estimated AUD$120 average price per night.

Rooms bathrooms and sheets were quite clean and cozy. Beds were comfy enough, though our room had the view of the neighbouring office block about 10 meters away, so we kept our curtains drawn all the time.

Location is good: 15 minutes walk to the Convention centre or to the central CBD district, 5 minutes to a big supermarket.

The hotel breakfast is, at AUD$13, rather value for money when you consider it would cost about AUD$10 everywhere else to buy a sandwich and coffee.

The only gripe is that Internet is not free. In fact, it is quite a hefty charge.

Nothing really to say that has'nt been said in the last 3 reviews except I thought they had really good curtains which kept the room dark when the sun came up - if that is what you want. If catching or getting off the free tram use the stop on the northern side of Etihaad Stadium rather than the western as the Tram parks up for a little while in between the stops unless of course you want the docklands outlet store shopping complex which is between the two stops.

I only called the review by that title because I thought the location OK and not brilliant as many have said. It was a bit bleak and dark around the hotel and, if a woman alone, I think you'd have found it a bit daunting walking to get the tram, it's a bit dark side. It's great for the Sky Bus and Southern Cross Station but there are a few dodgy people around there, especially at night. If you want city centre then go for that, this is NOT the city centre. The hotel itself is fine, the reception staff are really nice and helpful. Why there is a full length mirror at the side of the wardrobe and none over the desk is a bit strange though - a mirror over that desk would be perfect. We were on the 13th floor and it was very noisy all night with something on the roof (lift motor?Air conditioning?), but we were so tired it didn't stop us sleeping. It may be very annoying for some though. Turn right out of the hotel and left at the top of the street and there's a nicer than usual Gloria Jeans coffee shop with free wifi and adjacent to that is a colourful building which is a NAB Bank with a great cafe, again with free internet. That's not open at weekends unfortunately. It's a shame the hotel didn't have free wi fi (15 minutes a day IS available) all the time but that seems to be the norm in Australia unlike Europe and Asia. It;s about time Australia caught up! Plenty of tea and coffee and extra milk available on request. I would certainly stop there again.

Room Tip: Stay away from the top floor and could be noisy on lower levels.

We got a good deal through Hotel Club for a superior king room. Whilst it wasn't the most spacious room it was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and had a microwave. They do over room service, but not a great selection but there are several restaurants close by with charge back facilities. Located so close to Ethihad stadium, the Docklands and the new World Trade Centre wharf ( fabulous) with its bars and restaurants- all within 5 minutes walk. Underground car parking was $20 overnight, but you could probably park for less down the street. The room had a bit of a view towards Collins St and I am sure you could get a better view if you paid more. We were quite happy as it was a cheap stay for Melbourne,in a great location

Located in a very quite street in Docklands this hotel is all you need for a short stay. The rooms are clean and with enough room to move around. No view in our room but I believe you could request one with a view of the city. Staff where very friendly. We had an issue with our tv remote and it was sorted very quickly. Phoned reception to get a taxi and the lady was more than accommodating. If you aren't wearing heels the hotel is only a short walk to the city which is great. Pillows weren't the best but there was a brochure on getting other types of pillows which I didn't notice until later so our own fault. 11am checkout is always nice. Would definitely recommend.
